Hi everyone, this is Kathi Kerr, owner of Melody Music Studios. I am very astonished at these reviews. First, if the calls were made to the number on this info page, they wouldn't have talked to us, becuase I had changed it years ago. My current number is 615-356-7701. I would love to have you all call me and find out how great we are on the phone. Myself and my assistant, Katie, answer the phone all day and are never rude to our customers, EVER! We return all calls, even to let the customer know we do not have an instructor for them. We do not have hidden fees, we don't have a registration fee, and we don't even charge for the first lesson if the student is not happy with the instructor. We would love to speak with you and to show you how friendly, FUN, courteous and informative we are on the phone. We can let you know what instructors are in your area, their bio and schedule! Very Confused About Negative Reviews Part 1 5/5/2008

Hello Everyone! My name is Katie Armstrong, the Office Administrator at Melody Music Studios. I see that all of these reviews are recent & I would have been the person answering most calls on a daily basis for the past few months for Melody Music Studios. I am so disheartened and confused by these reviews. To all previous reviewers or current viewers, I ask you to please read my following message. If there are any messages on our machine when I come into the office, these calls are returned immediately. Next day call backs are only made when an inquiring student calls after hours or on the weekend. We always give one more follow up a few days later. We don't want to bother families in search of lessons, but want to be sure that you know we care in the case you missed our message from the previous call. Bob49, I am so very sorry if for some reason I did not receive your message. I pride myself on being as friendly as possible to all whom I speak with. I am a music lover & musician myself so I am always so excited to help new student's begin or further their musical journey. I love my job so very much & consider myself so lucky to be working with Kathi Kerr the owner of Melody Music Studios. I respect her dedication and enthusiasm for her business. Kathi is the sweetest most patient person I have ever met & she works around the clock for her work because it is something she loves so dearly. I know this sounds mushy, but it is the plain truth! I am the first one to admit my faults and If you did have an issue with how I handled your music lesson inquiries I beg you to PLEASE call me @ 1/800-Melody1 (635-6391) or please email me, as I would like to speak with you & find out what went wrong. They dont answer the phone 4/11/2008

I have called the office and have never spoken to anyone. They didnt return my calls. I guess I will spend my money somewhere else. 3 business days is long enough to wait for a call back to sign up. Pushy music studio 4/2/2008

I called the several times to ask about taking guitar lessons. When they finally called back I just wanted some information because being in "Music City" you are lucky to have many options of studios and music teachers. The owner seemed indifferent and was giving me too much info about rules and wanted my credit card info and really just wanted to sign me up without answering my questions. She was telling me about the different teachers and it seems like they have several but I just didnt like her, it seemed like she couldnt care less about signing me up and acted like it was inconvient to answer my questions. Its more expensive to have the teacher come to your house and she didnt tell me that until the end. I have a small child and that was important to me. I am still calling places, but I decided not to go with them. Pros: they have several teachers Cons: expensive, not caring about students, rules are crazy more

Inept Customer Service 3/29/2008

I have recently moved to this area for work and was looking into music lessons. Calling several places and just getting a feel for things. Whoever answered the phone was rude and pushy. Luckily I checked online and saw that others had a bad experience and they have hidden fees. They have competitive rates but I have decided to go elsewhere because of the poor atitiude of the office staff. Pros: Rates are about what other studios offer Cons: Pushy and rude phone manners. They also make the customer pay for holidays. more
