I learned about Mehak on restaurant . com, which usually has great recommendations for quality food. Unfortunately, this was not the case when we visited Mehak for dinner last week. My boyfriend and I did get a very good first impression: it was wonderful to be greeted by the owners; they are friendly and, yes, from India! But the night went downhill from there. To start, we ordered Mango Lassi, which usually is a yogurt and fresh mango blend iced drink. Surprisingly, the drinks were neon yellow and didn?t taste like mango in the least. For appetizer: naan, which was good. Our entrees, tikka masala, one chicken and one shrimp. Both well overcooked and the sauce was heavy and thick, as if it had been heated and re-heated and re-heated one more time. Speaking of heating, the entrees came over to the table so fast, it is almost certain to me that they were micro waved, rather than made to order. If the owners happen to read this, I do wish my review provide some insight on aspects that could be improved. If you are planning on checking it out yourself, please do. Maybe you will disagree with me, but I am afraid that you won?t.
Pros: Location
Cons: Quality of Food, Ambiance
