Mecca

While I enjoyed going to Mecca for belly dancing classes, I do not think they are very good with new students. I found it very difficult to learn belly dancing when the instructor is not willing to stop and help the new dancers. They should maybe split up the class for the new dancers and the beginners. The beginners I would classify as takings some of the classes before, enough to at least know the basic moves. It is very hard to even learn the basic moves in these classes. more

As a dance studio, they offer classes in belly dance, flamenco, yoga and more nearly every day of the week. They also have gallery space for visual art exhibits and they are always one of the best stops during Lexington's frequent Gallery Hop events.
