River views 4/17/2006

This is one of the few Eugene restaurants that actually are located close to the river. This place is nicely tucked in away from highway noise as well. The deck area makes dining really pleasant in the summer time. I've enjoyed the inside even in the rain. Good service last time but my food wasn't the best. more

McMenamin's North Bank 8/31/2005

North Bank has a beautiful view from the deck overlooking the Willamette River. This is great for a sunny day, or early evening outside. When the weather's not so great, the inside is a little dark, but you can counter that by bringing along some friendly companions. The food and drink will brighten things up! Pub food with a few upscale twists. You've gotta try the fries -- ask for them extra crispy. The halibut fish & chips is a great deal. Burgers are really terrific, too -- I like the Dungeon Burger with mushrooms and swiss cheese, and while the beef is tops, I usually go for their Gardenburger version. The Brewers Salad with blue cheese and roasted hazelnuts was enough for two of us to share. Ruby is my brew of choice, but they also offer McMenamin's Hammerhead Ale and Terminator Stout on a daily basis. There is a nice brewery sampler for $5.50 that let's you try several of the specialty beers. It's family friendly, so you can even get the kids a Roy Rogers or Shirley Temple if they need some special bev of their own. McMenamin's also serves soft drinks, coffee, and they make spectacular milkshakes. more

River view justifies price 8/16/2005

Even if they served dog food, you problably cannot find a better place in town. Looking over the Willamette, the outdoor dining is terrific. The menu is fine, but nothing really more than a Shari's menu with a fancy font. What do I mean, Sheri's sells Garden burgers while MNB features Bocaburgers (Don't worry, it is better than Sheries). more
