The drinks are weak. The atmosphere is ok, but usually crowded. Parking is ok is if you get there early. more

it use to be a very nice place to go, especially on a sunday evening thru night, but now, not open on sundays, the crowd that use to gather there on sundays (every sunday) have spreaded all over the city, the good times has gone, and need to come back......the problem begin when the club started being greedy for money and kept increasing the cover charge, regulars were like "forget this", a cover was not the problem, it was attitudes toward regulars and drinks started to be weaken so that you buy more and then have the "cover", I can't lie and say i don't miss all of the above......overall maxwell is a very nice place. I had a breat time up in this club! I be the onliest white boy in they, but i gets my groove on with some sistah's. At first everybody be looking at me like "what's this white boy doing in here?" But one i gets on the dance flo' everyone knows that i be there to cut a rug. I did the electric slide, i did the Running man, i did the Cabbage patch, i dids the hambone. Everyone circled up around me clapping they hands like I was John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever or like i was Woogy Woogy in Breaking Two Electric Boogaloo. Now they pays me to dance every friday night! so if you want to see me shaking my moneymaker comes on out Friday night! They rude, my fired had a party for her mother here this past weekend and after they got her money they treated her like she was nothing, guest who arrived before 9:30 were supposed to get in free, they didn't honor their invitations. One of her guest keft their jacket and they said they didn't find it, when the area that was booked was a private area not a common part of thr club. She tried to tell the manger about how she felt, and he constantly brushed her off all night. DO NOT GO TO THIS CLUB, there are other Adult spots out there. I forgot to mention the carpet is so torn up that one of the guest broke her heel off her shoe, and the mangagement said she was drunk, and she doesn't drink. About 4 1/2yrs ago i went to maxwell's for my birthday and i had a wonderful time then. Just this past weekend i went with a friend and we have a very nice time. I like the fact that the three different rooms give you a variety of music to listen and dance to.. I would go again when i take my little trips to Houston. more

Me and my girls went to Houston for my birthday in February 2006 b/c of the reviews about this club we had to check it out! Thank you all for your reviews b/c it really made it easy for us! Boy were they right we had so much fun! The main room we stayed in was with the Biggest dance floor and they played all kinds of R&B recent & old. The other two rooms played nothing but old school another room was the latest R&B/Hip Hop. We plan on going back this summer. I highly recommend MAXWELLS Club to all the GROWN & SEXY. It was so laid back the staff was cool & the drinks were great from what my girls told b/c I'm not a drinker I like to dance and there is plenty of both. So the next time you visit Houston check it out! more

This is a very nice spot for all of us 25+ people who are tired of partying with the children. The music is great in every room, but I always tend to find myself in the middle room where the old-skool mixes are always jamming. It is a very nice, laid back atmosphere, maybe I'll see you there!!! I will happily endorse Maxwell's as the best spot for Houston's grown and sexy. more

Maxwell's has a nice, laid back atmosphere. It is definately not a place where you will find the hats and tennis shoes; instead you will find the brothers in the baddest suits and the sistahs working the latest fashions. The music is nice and there is a variety. I give it a slinky 9. more
