Fair and Long term shop 1/14/2009

I was referred to this place by a friend, and found out by accident that it was run by one of my kids friend's dad. That and $3 will by me a coffee at Peet's, but I gave it a shot anyways. Seemingly fair, makes sense to specialize in Hondas and Toyota's-I have asked for work that they don't do (smog checks etc) and have been referred to other reputable shops. Not sure what more you could ask for except shuttle service and what not- but then again, if you want to pay for dealer service, then go to the dealer- this is where you go when you need your car to run right everyday and still have money left to pay for lunch. Simple and basic- what you should expect. Pros: Fair, simple Cons: None yet more

The Masters is awesome! 2/3/2008

I have been to about four different mechanics during my 5-year stay here in the Monterey area, and once I found the Masters, I knew I didn't have to look anymore. I drive a honda odyssey, and the Masters only works on hondas, toyotas and acuras, so I knew they would do an excellent job on my vehicle. Greg, the guy in charge is very kind, patient, and reasonable! He understands my financial situation and works with me as much as he can, not to mention he explains everything to me in a language I can understand, and he does a fantastic job. In fact, I am in the market for a new car, and I have have gone into the shop on several occasions just to pick his brain about new cars. If you drive a honda, toyota, or an acura, I highly recommend that you take your car to Greg. Pros: Affordable, patient, understanding, incredibly knowledgable. Cons: Not much of a waiting area. I walk to the Ol'Factory Cafe for a latte while I wait instead. more

Good Honest Mech. and fast too. 11/8/2006

Ask for Greg, tell him Ted Link sent You... and spend the day on the Monterey Bay, walking around while they fix your Honda, Toyota car or truck. Pros: Great Guys! more
