Mary Gene""s is a great place. Not only do you get wonderful care and fabulous hair but always a smile! It is a fun place to chat and catch up while you get the best in haircare. They sell other goodies as well like Avon products and a variety of specialty care products, too. Always a fun and pleasurable experience! more

I'm so happy to have found such a great place to get my hair done. MaryGene is very personable. She knows what looks good on me I just told her to ""go ahead do what you want"" and I have gotten the best haircuts that I have received anywhere else in my vast 52 years. While I've never been to Mary Gene's, I do have experience with Katie Wells.\r \r I'm not really sure what msolydark's problem is but I've been going to Katie Wells for 6+ years and recommended her to several of my friends and she's the best hair stylist I've ever had in my life. She listens to what you want and gives it to you for some of the best prices I've ever found in Seattle. If for some reason you're not sure about something she's the first to fix it for you and I've never been anything but satisfied. My friends and I get the best compliments on our hair and I am constantly sending people in her direction with nothing but positive results.\r \r The only conclusion I can come to is that msolydark didn't know what to ask for or she was trying to get out of paying for service because Katie is one of the most technically perfect stylists I have ever experienced. more

If you want to go to a salon that smells 50 yrs old, looks and probably is unsanitary, buy really old avon and get the WORST HAIRCUT EVER then go to Hair Fashions by Mary Gene and ask for Katie Wells.. she'll cut your hair like a 4 yr old who can't sit still and charge you way to much for it. I have never felt so aweful upon leaving a salon and the worst part is we still payed...She needs her hair license taken away or she should be honest and not cut a style she is not capable of doing.. which means anything because she was really really bad... GO anywhere but here! Cons: The place was the worst Salon I have ever stepped foot in more
