This family owned hole in the wall has the most perfect stuffed grape leaves, tender savory lamb kabobs, garlicky hommous, and other traditional Lebanese treats. Salads are standard iceberg lettuce far, but the oil and vinegar dressing is so simple yet jazzes it up (although once I got fresh lemon juice and a drizzle of oil, and it was to die for). Specials change daily, and Saturday's specials always incluce raw kibbe, made to order - call ahead.
All served with giant fresh pita pockets, food is love at Martha's. Best baklava ever -beats out my Greek friend's mom with its sticky honey almond pastry goodness.
The restaurant is tiny, just 4 tables with burgandy oilcloths and fake flowers. A wood stove adds ambiance and winter heat. Picnic tables provide outside marsh view seating. It's a place where the locals go and the owners know you by name. Perfect for a date, a quick dinner on the job, or take home fare. Tell Joe & Martha Beth sent ya.
