Anytime I go to Washington, especially with a group, the Marrakesh is a must-visit. They are very accommodating, even for groups of forty, with prior reservations. The prix ...

It's definitely an experience eating here with the plush couches and having to eat with your hands. Don't forget the belly dancer portion which may have you poking around in the ...

I almost felt silly there 10/31/2010

I haven't been to Morocco, but I doubt the custom there is to bury every dish in sugar and honey. Everything was so sweet that by the couscous course we were done. The fruit basket contained two of the most embarrassing apples I've ever witnessed and some pedestrian grapes, the bread was meh, the tea was so achingly sweet I couldn't swallow. I've been to Moroccan restaurants with bellydancing, but this sort of stop-everything-else, floodlighted spectacle was a bit much. The hosts were very nice, but the food was absolutely bland and forgettable. I won't go back. more

Simply awful 3/15/2010

I went there when the price was $40 and I am glad it has been reduced to $30 but even that is too much for what is one of the worst dining experiences in DC. They are trying to cash in on the arabian nights theme but its an absolute rip off. I agree with the other reviewer that calling it a 7-course meal is laughable considering that some of the courses are just olives and oranges. I have been to Morocco and can vouch that the food is not even remotely close to authentic Moroccan food. I guess the belly dancing must be the draw, otherwise I can't imagine why this place would still be in business. more
