Not honest and poor work 2/10/2011

Afsaneh in the back is into being a full blown completely dishonest billing person, a true native of Cerreto. They likely have millions in credits on customer accounts they're not paying back from over charging. And Markle with his self-appointed three star Michelin rating couldn't fix a peanut butter sandwich without screwing it up. I’ll save you some time here and just say find another place, keep looking. This place gives dentists a bad reputation. more

Fantastic Dentist and staff 4/28/2008

I found Dr. Markle on the web after reading other reviews. I needed a cosmetic dentist asap because I had fallen and chipped my front tooth. I have had really bad experiences with the dentists before so I was extremely nervous and anxious. Right away, the staff, Leslie, Tina and Afsaneh made me feel welcome and relaxed. Dr. Markle explained options for me and fixed my tooth in such a short amount of time. His work was AMAZING! My tooth looked so good. He really is an artist and his chair side manner is so personable and disarming. I can't say enough about this office. I highly recommend Dr. Markle and his staff. more

avoid this office unless you have money to burn 2/28/2007

Although I really liked dr Markle himself, and he seemed like a very capable and understanding dentist, I had serious issues with other staff members in the office. \r The hygenist told me I needed $1300 worth of cleaning services including 4 shots of freezing, when in fact I got the same work done without shots for $300 by a top notch hygenist at a different office with little/no discomfort! \r The office manager first quoted me $5000 for an invisalign treatment, and told me I would get a full presentation and case study before having to commit. When I showed up for the presentation, there was no rep from the company, no presentation prepared - only their office manager pressuring me into giving them $7000 up front that minute before they wanted started treatment that day. They also charged me $500 for preliminary work to prepare for the ?presentation? and then refused to give me or any future dentists access to the models to save me having to pay in duplicate.\r They tried to dupe me and wasted my time. I walked out. Don't bother walking in! more

PRICEY!!!! 7/17/2006

Found dr. markle thru the yellow pages and online reviews.\r \r While the office staff IS friendly-it has to be the 2nd highest priced dentist in SF......They charged me $1500 for a crown, my insurance only allows $850 for that and pays 80% so I paid nearly $1000 out of pocket. Other charges for fillings were really high too....One filling I still have problems with but they want to charge me to re do it and I can't afford it.\r \r not recommended at all unless you have REALLY good insurance or lots of $$$ to burn.\r more

Sorry To Say - Disappointing 4/2/2006

I went in for a prelimenary examination and Xrays (basic x-rays a person normally gets at a dentist). They billed me a total of $477: $100.00 for the ""Comprehensive Exam"" for looking at my teeth; $175 for ""Panoramic"" Xray; and ANOTHER $202 for Full Mouth Xray. My Insurance payed only $100 (for the comprehensive). They tacked on as many charges as they could and were going to keep doing that through out the treatments. I will have to pay nearly $400 for Xrays this is outrageous! For Orthodontics they estimated a Whopping $7000 for Braces - Normally these Braces run anywhere from $2500-$4500. I had just been quoted $3500 for Braces at another good dentist a few years ago and did research which told me this Dentist has a ""friendly"" staff - but will totally take advantage of you when it comes to price! Pros: Friendly Staff Cons: Price!, Price!, Price! more

Professional, Modern, Skilled! 1/31/2006

Every member of Dr. Markle's crew is friendly, professional, caring, attentive, and highly skilled. Truly the best dental care. Relatively pain-free and so efficient! I needed siginificant work and it was completed in the minimal number of visits. Also, the office is gorgeous, modern and comfortable. Pros: staff, skill level, office more

Wonderful Experience!! 6/4/2002

I have never have had such a pleasant dental visit in my life, and I have had a lot of dental work. The dentist was great and didn't hurt me. His staff was also very helpful with my insurance and handling my account. They also have a great website. more
