Bad service at the Market 3/5/2011

Sorry, but my last experience was negative. It is not due to some defective item (this can happen everywhere), it is about a disrespectuful an careless customer service. I have been buying glasses from the Pike Place shop for years, me and my wife. This time the coating of a Lindberg pair of glasses started to peel off all around the perimeter. I have been told that the warranty was expired (few months) and told that the cause was something wrong with my skin! This by a young geeck who obviously knows nothing about chemistry. I have several glasses coated , bough in their shop and this is the only one that had this problem. I feel more offended and disrespected than anything else. more

So Cute! 1/6/2010

Everytime I wander in there they always have cute things. I got these Tommy frames for my husband and everyone now compliments him on his new glasses. He was so worried that people would think he looked old or something like that. So when my friend Julie and I went again, they remembered me and were so nice. Now Julie's family also goes to Market Optical. Seriously people, it's like the only place to go for glasses. Pros: Cute glasses and nice staff Cons: Small, busy in UVillage more

Dr. Bingham is awesome 7/13/2007

I'd been going to an opthalmologist who wouldn't let me have soft contact lenses for some mysterious reason and switched to (Pam?) Bingham, the optometrist here. She is great - very thorough and approachable and flexible with your needs. I told all my family and friends about her... more

If you are Bill Gates... 11/7/2005

...of course you'll get good service and walk out with good glasses. (Come to think of it, have you seen Bill's glasses lately?) I dropped a bunch of cash here (no vision insurance) and walked out with glasses that hurt my face. I have been told by staff at other stores that these glasses should not have been sold to me and they will continue to slip down my nose. Don't be seduced by the high prices; it doesn't mean you'll get better glasses or better service. That was my fault to assume such a thing. Oops. Pros: cool frames, cool store Cons: glasses really hurt, no recompense more
