I had an all-over highlight for my long, curly hair. He promised to make it bright and shiny. Instead, it was the most unprofessional, awful coloring I've ever had. There were uneven dark streaks in the blond, and I left the salon with at least a half inch of dark hair ""regrowth"" around my face, with the effect of looking cheap and trashy. When I went back the next day to talk to the stylist to fix the mistakes, he claimed that he thought I ""parted my hair on the other side"" as a reason for the patchy coloring. My whole head was streaky and uneven. I have very forgiving curly hair, but I still had to wear a hat--it was that bad.
The worst part was that the one treatment really damaged my hair. I paid $200 for the entire experience, and ended up driving to my former home town to my former stylist, who did her best to fix it. She would have charged $60 for the same service. Since then I've had to drench my hair in conditioning treatments to get it to curl like it did before my Mario Tricoci highlight.
Mario Tricoci is a rip-off. My stylist wasn't worth $20, much less $200.
