It may not be the most gourmet sushi, but it does come in quantity, on a conveyer belt. This place was packed the last time I went, so my main complaint is that they don't have mo...

I do not consider myself as a picky eater, but I do not consider what they serve at sushi land as ""sushi"". The rice was hard, the raw fish was lukewarm, just to name a few. Try ...

tasty and inexpensive sushi 6/20/2010

I am not a sushi expert by any means, so I am not going to argue with those reviewers who claim that what Marinepolis serves is not real sushi. However, for amateur sushi-lovers on a budget like me, this restaurant is a great choice. The kaiten (conveyor belt) concept is fun and lets you try a bit of everything. If you don't see something on the conveyor, you can order it and the chefs will make it for you. The selection of vegetarian sushi is not large, but there are at least 3-4 items to choose from, plus there are usually a couple more items that may not be on the conveyor but are listed on the menu and can be special-ordered. The decor and the overall feel of the place is much more plain then Genki Sushi on the next block, but the quality of the food is comparable, the prices are about the same, and the staff is much more friendly and attentive. A line often forms during dinnertime, particularly on weekends, so be prepared to wait along with several other people if you come during those times. There are a few chairs by the door for those who are waiting. Pros: cheap, tasty, fun Cons: can be crowded more

Yummy 5/6/2008

This is by far my favorite sushi place to go. I love that the portions are small enough so, if you're sharing, you can just try one of everything that looks good. I've never had bad sushi there and when I don't see something that I want to try, I'll ask the staff working in the middle to make me something special. A lot of them speak just spanish, so if you know the language, I think they appreciate it and will definately come up with some very yummy creations. Pros: Food Cons: Can get full and have a long waiting period in the evenings. more

not sushi 3/9/2008

Fun! 11/13/2006

The sushi is not the best, but it is good! Very yummy! Busy though, a lot of waiting around if you dont call ahead of time. Affordable, the plates start at $1.00 so you can eat everything you want without having to try to choose a favorite. The conveyor belt is fun and you get fast service with it, food is fresh as well. If there is something on the menu you want that is not on the belt, just ask! They will be happy to bring it over. It's a little small, but it was so much fun, and very affordable, : ) thumbs up! Pros: Great price, great staff! Cons: Potentially long waiting periods. more
