As Whirlpools Only parts supplier in the country, we were only able to find their Corporate Website and Tel. Number when we searched the internet for the part we needed for our stove, we asked them if they had a store in the Fort Lauderdale area, which is how 99% of corporations list divisions in south Florida, and we were told ""NO"", ""We don't have a location in Fort Lauderdale, but we have one up in a place called Pompano Beach, Florida"". So after explain to her that this was the Ft. Laud area, I explained to her what I needed and she said that she'd be able to ship ir to me , and I'll get it in 7 to 10 days for the cost of the part and $14.00 shipping. I asked her again, but didn't you just tell me you had a location in Pompano Beach? to which she said, ""Yes"", but it would be easier if you just ordered it from me.
I said, ""No it wouldn't, and asked to this locations address. She gave me the address but said she did not have a store phone number nor it's hours of operation on hand, I then asked her if she'd give me the part number so that I can get it right at this location, to which she said, ""No, we're not allowed to give out part numbers, if you go to that location, tell them what you told me and they should be able to look it up as I did on their computers"". Wow, So all I got from her was a Price and a shipping cost.
I waited a few days, thinking on if I should go to this store after the ordeal I went through with the lady on the phone, but I'm glad I went, this place was very easy to find, It is on Powerline Road between MLK Blvd. and Copans Rd. on the corner of 18th. When I went in there were two or three guys behind the counter and everyone of them looked up and either nodded their head or said hello to me, and I went to the 1st guy I saw that didn't have a customer in front of him, I handed him the peice of paper I had written my stoves Make, model, and serl # on, and he asked me to just give him a min. He typed a few secs on his Computer and gave me a price that was cheaper than the ""Rude"" woman on the telephone tat even wanted to charge me shipping. I paid the guy, and it was as the piece magically appeared, because I honestly didn't see him go get it. LOL. This place was not bad at all, as far as pricing? Well I don't know to much about Oven heating elements, so I can't tell you if it was over priced. But as far as I'm concerned, it was less than what their corporate store wanted to charge me and it was much better treatment, so I'll go here for now on if I ever need anything from Tankless Water Heaters (which they Had) and all sorts of parts for kitchen appliances.
