I went to Dr. Lemchen to fix some spacing that had developed in my teeth as I got older. He offered several different options, in several different price ranges. I did not feel rushed even though there was a wait for my appointment, and it seems like a busy office. His staff is friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend him. more

Dr. Lemchen is a caring, amazingly skillful orthodontist. I never feel rushed or feel like I am just another patient. Sometimes I do have a wait, but it's like that in all doctor's offices. I would highly recommend Dr. Lemchen to anyone looking for a cutting-edge orthodontist who will make your smile the very best it can be. Lemchen is about 70 years old. I had heard that he was a wizard of knowledge. Instead, I found him a man who tried to take me for a great deal of money and knew nothing. I went in for a consultation and he was totally unprepared. I waited about 7 weeks to see him. After 7 weeks, he couldn't answer any questions, and the consult was over in 10 minues. A 7 week wait for 10 minutes. No matter what I asked him he just refused to answer. My dentists disagreed strongly with him and told me to leave. After my consult, I waited to pay, and each person that came out was very upset and said that Lemchen hadn't answered any of his questions for the consult they had and wanted to see him again. They were ushered into another room. He refuses to work with you in any way whatsoever. He called my dentists morons. He kept repeating he was in the business 34 years over and over. I honestly didn't get it. Then this girl from his office kept romping around saying Lemchen is a rock star, Lemchen is a rock star of ortho. Don't any of you know of him. His office was too rigid in appts. he only gives consultations from 7-8:30 am, if you miss an appt. it's another 6 or 7 week wait. They are unflexible. I coudlnt' deal with this place or their ignorance. I and about 6 other people just left our consultations in disgust. No one made an appt. He caters to children. \r \r He also doesn't do any of the work himself . He dental assistants do all the work including all of the movment of the wires. . I was told he's such a rock star, he no longer does work. So you are basically paying for a dental school. He has about 20 assistants working for him. It's a very strange enviroment and he's very expensive. He charged me $500 for a consultation left in disgust like everyone else that day. No one made a second appointment to come back. He refused to answer any questions.\r \r He also quoted me a price for a procedure and I found out it was 3 times the price. I left Save your money and move on.
