Marc Jacobs quite possibly could be the epitome of San Francisco's vintage clothing stores. Athough small, the Maiden Lane boutique is filled with everything you could want or imagine, whether it be frilly, prom-inspired dresses, vibrant shoulder bags, or ecclectic pumps and flats. Throughout the years, the boutique has gained enormous popularity between tourists and locals alike, mainly because every season you can go in and be submerged in totally different styles of clothing again and again. One season the collection could be inspired from the 50's, then grunge, then futuristic minimalism, or simply the bustling streets of New York City. This surprise factor draws in many, flocking to the store to buy Marc's great jackets, inventive blouses and shoes, and modern t - shirts and sweaters. Although a great store indeed, many choose to not go in and purchase, because Marc, as many designers today, chooses to use fur in many of his seasons' designs, and we all know how awfully those animals are treated before they are made into clothing. We all hope Marc, and all designers, kick their fur habit!!! Nonetheless, the detailed Marc store is filled with great ideas and chic, hip clothing, despite the unfortunate fur!
Pros: nice clothing selection, friendly people
Cons: overpricing, a little snooty feel
