I worked with Tausha Carlson and Marathon Real Estate on a sale and a purchase of 2 investment properties. She's highly knowledgeable of the market in Austin, and she has developed professional relationships with lenders, title companies, attorneys, and inspectors to help guide you through the complex process of buying and/or selling. She takes that a couple of steps further by identifying local contractors that you can work with to help you maximize your investment; and by conducting seminars on real estate related matters. She's energetic, dedicated, and a real joy to work with. Her advice and subsequent diligent efforts to sell my property allowed me capitalize on one of the best investments I have ever made. I hope to get the chance to work with her and her firm again in the near future. more

Marathon was great! Both Tausha and Wendy were very flexible with their schedules and meeting my wife and I when it was convenient for us. We were happy to get a good deal on our purchase which we mostly attribute to Tausha's negotiation skills! Wendy helped us lease our old house and we received the high end of our asking price. So we were very excited to have this cash flow available to paying off ""good"" debt (and have a little extra) during these bad times in the market. more

Here's my story (and I'm sticking to it). I was buying a new condo which seemed like a pretty straightforward deal as far as real estate goes. Had attended one of Marathon's seminars, looked at some investment properties a year or two prior and nothing had panned out but got in touch with one of Marathon's realtors, Tausha, to buy the condo. Told the bank to lock in a rate at 5 7/8 but then found out about 4-5 weeks later that I was without a lock and rates were up about 3/8. I was ready to pull my $24.78 in savings out of that particular bank and swear off working with them ever again. I'm not sure if it was the thought of losing the ability to manage all that cash or Tausha knowing the guy handling my loan and knowing the boss of the guy handling my loan that got me the original rate. It was probably the latter. Tausha's a winner and the 3/8 she saved me on my rate is just an example of her customer focus and in addition to the fact she's a pleasure to work with. more

I was referred to this company's founder when I moved to Austin 3 years ago. I bought my first house one year thereafter and found her to be easy to work with - especially for a person not knowing anything about the process of buying a house. Some of my other friends who have used realtors have indicated that they put too much of their preferences into selecting houses to see. Not the case here. Tausha took time to find out what I wanted and then went about finding it. That being said, I was did not feel like she would let me make a mistake born of my naivete. All in all, Tausha made an intimidating venture relaxing and enjoyable. I would refer anyone to her and will use her services again. more

Tausha is extremely knowledgeable about the real estate market, negotiations and valuations, green building and navigating the intricacies of buying and selling real estate in Texas. We found our dream home working with Tausha. No really, we did! We didn't have a huge budget, but my wife and I were not going to let that stop us from finding a home that met all of our exacting criteria. Well, we did just that - and in the end we came in under budget. I think it's fair to say that our experience couldn't have been better. tausha worked with me on finding two properties in austin over a six month period. i live in los angeles so we kept in touch over the phone and with emails. she is incredibly knowledgeable about not just the area but the market in general. she helped me find the right properties, walked me through the ton of paperwork involved and had answers for every question, no matter how trivial. and even after the sales went through she continued to work with me on finding a property manager for them. she also keeps me in the loop with emails and mailings. if i ever need to get in contact with her, she responds immediately. it's like she lives next door, not 2,000 miles away. i liked working with her so much i recommended her to a friend in l.a. and he ended up buying two properties with her as well. bottom line - you couldn't ask for a better agent.
