Best burger in town...HANDS DOWN!! I've been going to the maple leaf for 5 years now and I've never eaten a bad meal. The waitstaff is great too...friendly and authentic. If you listen carefully you will often hear bob dylan serenading you while you eat. It doesn't get much better for a small neighborhood grill. I can't recommend it enough. more

Great fries! 5/28/2008

I have only been to the Maple Leaf Grill at lunch, but have always had a great experience. There are not many great restaurants in the Northgate area and we are all sick of mall food! So, this is a refreshing change. The service is good, though sometimes a bit slow. The menu is small, but the burgers are great! The hand cut fries are fabulous! more

Best Burger in Town 5/28/2008

Hands down, best burger in town, and I'm a burger fiend. Not to mention they come with a mountain of tasty fries (my wife loves the yam fries)! While they are a bit pricey, they are worth every penny. Nice selection of local beers on tap and friendly staff. I swear every waiter in the place came over to ask if we were okay or needed anything. If you are craving a good burger, fries and a cold beer, this is the place to come. Good cheeseburger 4/3/2008

If you're looking for a good cheeseburger this is the place to go! The whole cheeseburger is tasty, from the toasted roll to the thickly sliced pickles. The fries are hand cut, I like crispy fries and these aren't crispy - but if you like a more rustic soft fry they are fine. Pros: Great location, locally owned Cons: Soft fries more

Ruined my evening! 1/6/2008

So dark in there, you wonder what they're hiding. The waitstaff has the personality of moss growing on a tree and moss would taste better than the meal I was served. If you're going to work with the public, you've got to at least act like you enjoy it. I love hummus, their's was very dry, never had that experience in any other restaurant. My sandwich was fried in bad grease, I had 3 bites before I could figure out what was wrong with it but by then it was too late. I was nauseous the rest of the evening, nothing serious but certainly uncomfortable. It was a big dissappointment all around. more

I've been visiting the Maple Leaf Bar and Grill since the late 90's. At that time the restaurant was located further down the street that eventually closed due to a fire. Pros: Excellent location. Daily specials. Cons: Service and menu consistancy more

Excellent neighborhood find 9/22/2006

Always passed by this place on the way to Snappy Dragon and am very glad I had lunch with my family there today. All our dishes were excellent (my flank steak sandwich was particularly good) and I'd definitely go back. All and all a very good looking restaurant. more

An oasis 7/27/2004

Slightly pricey but carefully prepared dishes...a satisfying dinner with outstanding, highly professional service. Ingredients are fresh, beers are cold, the room is welcoming (all the way up to the heartwarming picture of Jerry Garcia on the wall). Wondered in 5/28/2004

I have to say that the day I walked into Maple Leaf Grill I thought I had found a new treasure. The menue covers a broad spectrum of food, from Mexican Mole,Vietnamese spring rolls and eggplant caprese I can basically enjoy food from all over the world without leaving the neighborhood. If ever you don't know what you whant for dinner or just can't make up your mind, I think you might be able to find it at the Maple Leaf Grill. Pros: friendly staff, decor more

Maple Leaf Grill Just OK 4/26/2004

Here's the thing - we really WANTED to like the Maple Leaf Grill. We are always looking for new neighborhood spots to take my parents when they are in town for a visit. I have to say though that honestly the food was really only OK. We went with 4 people and no one really enjoyed their meal, but didn't find it horrible either. Everything was really dry, and the fish my dad had was FULL of bones and very undercooked. To be fair, they comped my dad his meal and brought him out a complimentary replacement meal. The ambiance was nice, the service very good, but for the prices they charge, the food really should be better than it is. Pros: Ambiance, Service Cons: , Average Food more

Great local place 12/19/2002

I've eaten here several times. Good place to go to enjoy some music later on weekends, or with some friends to chat. The food is quite good, there's always something on the menu with an interesting twist. Nice selection of hot sauces, too, which go well with the menu selections. I had one of the best steaks in Seattle at the Maple Leaf Grill and it was very affordable. Excellent mashed potatoes and greens too! more
