Best

We tried Mangia Bene after a 10 year hiatus. Neither of us remembered disliking the place - but it didn't leave a strong impression the first time around. Man, were we surprised. ...

Worst

We were there in a Sunday. Very quiet, only 3 other tables full. Service was very slow considering how many people were there. Regarding the green salad, it arrived with it drippi...

Lovely Dining 8/14/2009

I love this little place. It's so charming, hidden in a strip mall. The bread dip with before the meal is excellent and a nice change from the usual bread and butter. They also served complimentary carbonated water which is a nice change from the norm. more

A Hidden GEM right off the freeway 1/18/2009

You would not know by looking at this place, sandwiched between acme Chinese food and KFC in the Petco shopping center is Mangia Bene Restaurant, a truly wonderful restaurant. The staff is great, and every dish on the menu is worth the calories. The price's are reasonable and the service is stupendous. more

A great find 4/23/2008

You would never know by looking at the outside that this strip mall located restaurant is so good. Everything from the food to the staff is wonderful. They are very friendly and helpful. We will be back! more

Italian? 4/2/2005

We were there in a Sunday. Very quiet, only 3 other tables full. Service was very slow considering how many people were there. Regarding the green salad, it arrived with it dripping with water, very wet. Do not recommend that. more

  • Located in the city of Martinez, our restaurant offers contemporary Italian cuisine in a charming atmosphere. We are a family friendly restaurant established on April 10th,1996. We have been called "The Best Kept Secret in Martinez", but we prefer not to be a secret and want everyone to know about us. We make our own pastas and bake our bread fresh everyday. We also have a variety of homemade desserts, like our famous Tiramisu, Spumoni and Creme Brulee. It's like eating at your Nonna's house. We love to make you happy! So please, MANGIA MANGIA!!!!
