We had the worst experience with this company and its employees. These people are somehow authorized to tow cars from our apartment complex in bryn mawr, pa. This happened on a holiday weekend. We were moving stuff in and out of our car so parked it next to the door. We kept the hazard lights on and our car door was opened. We saw the towing car come and pass by us and thought they are there to do a routine nightly check. As soon as we left, the driver pulled over the car, closed the doors, switched off the lights and immediately towed away our car. One of our neighbors saw this happening and informed us. We were shocked. It was past mid-night. We called the phone #, they said the car had not yet reached their location. It took them more than 90 minutes to get the car to their location. We kept calling and finally they said, the car is come and we would have to come there and take the car paying $200 only in cash. We explained the situation to their employee over the phone but she refused to listen. In fact she was rude. Very very rude. She said the manager was out due to holidays and the only way to get our car back in by paying $200 in cash. We had no option. We had to pay it to get our car back. After that I have been trying to contact the manager, but no reply. Have left multiple messages for HER. But No response. This is really cheating. They are crooks and theif?s. I am shocked that this is the way they operate and there are no regulation/rules/laws this Main Line Towing company /other such towing companies have to abide by. The consumers are left with no choice.
If anyone out there is aware of any regulation/rules/laws applicable for towing companies, or any tips on how to deal with such companies please share with our fellow victims.
