Watch out for ""Surcharges"" 5/21/2010

My son had two USPS flat rate boxes to ship home. According to the Postal Service, ""if it fits, it ships for one flat rate."" But not at this place. The $13.95 flat rate box--he had two of them--were slapped with a $9 ""surcharge."" So his total bill to send two flat-rate boxes was $45.50. Yes, the owner puts up signs that says, ""Surcharges may apply."" but he doesn't tell HOW MUCH the surcharges will be. I filed a complaint with the US Postal Service and will be complaining to the Better Business Bureau, the state Attorney General and sending a letter to the editor of the Lancaster, CA newspaper. When we called the owner and asked about the $9 ""surcharge"" he said, ""I have this machine that I am renting for $300 a month and I have to pay for it somehow."" Don't go to this place--go to the main post office where there are no hidden surcharges. Pros: Convenient Cons: Dishonest more

I have been to this establishment on many occasions and I must admit that the long lines are a definate indication of the many people that are pleased with their convience and services. I must admit that while it appears that they take some before others - it is usually because they are capable of processing more than one thing at a time. Personally, I had to learn this for myself!!! I was paying a utility bill and it seemed that he serviced the lady shipping a package before me - in reality, he was processing another payment, shipping a package and sending a fax. If one is totally observant of what is going on with the total situation - you may not be upset but know that either everyone has to wait or they can service EVERYONE they can as quickly as possible. Even though we are in the last days of time. It is excellent that you were able to stand up for yourself, and also kept you calm. Pray for people with no love towards others and know that by acquiring the exact knowledge of Jehova god you will be blessed. There is still racism in 2009! 4/4/2009

When I arrived to Mail America early one Saturday morning, I was astonished at what was going to take place within the next 5 minutes. As I was standing in line to pay my phone bill, another customer (Caucasian woman) soon entered the building and stood behind me in line. When the owner appeared from the back room he greeted the other customer that?s was standing behind me and asked her how he could assist her. I then told the owner that I was apparently standing in the front of the line, in front of the other customer. He told me that he would have to help her first and that I would have to wait until he was done. I didn?t understand his concept or motive so I began to tell him how I felt as if I was being discriminated against. He then became very angry and stated, ?N (a word I wish not to repeat) get out of my fu**ing store and go to Wal-Mart where you belong.? I was very appalled and shocked. I will never patronize this business again and I urge everyone who is considering using this business to go else where. Cons: The owner called me the ""N"" word more
