Magic Cottage

My 14 month old son transferred to Magic Cottage in Yardley this week from another day care facility, and I am SO HAPPY with our decision. The teachers, director and owner are all fantastic and helped make the transition easy. He connected with the teachers and kids right away, and I can already see a difference in him in only a few days. We are so grateful to have found this school! more

My children, all 3, have gone to Magic Cottage in Morrisville and have had the incredible opportunity of having Fran Jenkins as the Director. When searching for a school and I saw many, Magic Cottage had this warmth that can only be explained by the staff and Director's true devotion to her genuine caring of children. Yes, it is an older building but has a quaint country school house feel. The education and love my children have received there can not be surpassed. I have highly recommend this school to many of my friends and coworker, all of whom feel the same way. As long as I know that Fran was still directing, I will keep recommending. more

My children have attended Magic Cottage in Morrisville for 5 years now. When my first born was ready to go to school, I tried a place in the area that was closer to my home. Soon after, I realized how staff treated the children( they were harsh and rough). I immediately pulled my daughter out of that center and went to Magic Cottage. I couldn't be happier. The Director, Fran, was a huge help in the transition. I was nervous to bring my daughter into another situation. I found that the caregivers were so nice to my daughter. It was a fun and friendly atmosphere. I became pregnant again three years ago. My second daughter attends Magic Cottage and wakes up every day excited to go to school. I have recommended Magic Cottage to my family and friends. Many have joined. It is a warm and loving environment. I would recommend it to anyone. It has become a second home to my children. We love this place!! more

This daycare is horrible! I wouldnt recommend it anyone including future employees. The management is so unorganized it's ridiculous. I can not figure out on how they can get so many children and still run it respectfully. I have seen personally the director, Fran , in Morrisville, give attitudes towards the employees as well as the parents of the students, including myself. There is children always sick in this center and they dont send the children home. I have recieved numerous of calls to retrieve my child becuase he is sick. The building smells musty. It is falling apart. The is rumors of Scapes and chicken pox and an outbreak of Hand Foot Mouth Disease. I beieive for the price of this center the care,the envirnement teachers and management should be top of the line. I have heard teachers throughout the building hollering at children and my child has come home crying saying that he doesnt want to go back. They do activities that are not approprate for their age group like one year olds playing bank with real pennies. THAT's A CHOKING HAZZARD! Whenever certain parents approach Fran for certain issues, she is rude, taps her foot, bites her nails and doesnt give a straight answer. On the outside I feel as though she plays her favorites. I am a single parent and connot remember everything. I recently got my son's health assement and was told to get it done asap. WHAT! she couldnt give me notice. I was thinking if the state or county was involved. In overall opinion of this place, I feel as though it needs to be SHUT DOWN! By many reports I see, there is no respect, learning or comfort within this center. more

I have very few OR NO positives to point out regarding this daycare. A couple of teachers are decent but the management is bad to say the least. I am glad we are out of this rut. Andrea who heads this branch, is extremely rude and her unprofessionalism is evident even when you are on phone with her.Please take my word for it and do not send your precious child to this daycare. No wonder the staff never sticks to this place and you dont see a smiling face in the school. How can you run a daycare where the staff which works is always stressed out. The yardley branch is a little better but nothing great. They take ridiculous amounts of money and give sub standard service. My son hated to go to school here, we got him out of here and put him in kiddie academy in langhore which is extraordinary compared to magic cottage. Any daycare is better than magic cottage. Trust me. more

my toddler was attending magic cottage in levittown.let me tell you that this place is horrific. Most of the teachers are substandard.Andrea who owns the daycare is one of most obnoxious women i have met in my life. this daycare is like a bomb shelter, very unhygenic and hardly lit. My daughter developed all sorts of allergies and was sick all the time. She started experiencing night terrors and would fear going to daycare. She started spacing out and zoning out time to time. Me and my wife did experience that the caregivers at magic cottage were rude to kids. The way they handle them is so rough. One day my daughters caregiver, was yelling ""Cut it out"" at a toddler who was crying inconsolably. I Am getting calls from them again. It was andrea and now They are claiming that I owe them 1 month tuition fee as penalty for not giving them a notice,threatened me of legal implications.please dont send your kid here.
