Maggie's Bluff, hidden away in the Elliot Bay Marina at the base of Magnolia, has everything you need for a relaxing, feel-good evening.
The pub menu is varied and the quality high, due largely to Maggie's relationship to its much more expensive upstairs neighbor Palisade. For $8-13 you can get a variety of fantastic salads, sandwiches (the buffalo chicken sandwich is a personal favorite), pastas, etc.
The best deal of all is the happy hour menu, served weekdays until 6PM. Microbrew pitchers are several dollars off, pints are a good value, and the $2.99 will get you a half dozen buffalo wings, a huge plate of nachos, a "mini marina burger", or a cup of chowder.
In summer, arrive early for an outdoor table that looks out over the boats in the marina to Elliot Bay and Seattle. In cooler weather, the interior is cozy and comfortable. This place is a haven for families with kids on weekend nights and can get a bit noisy but the atmosphere is happy and fun.
