Beware!! Pit Stop?s Warranty means NOTHING to them. I recently had an engine rebuilt with new forged rods and crank. Unfortunately, the engine blew a rod through the block within 1st 10 minutes of use. They would not take responsibility and blamed it on faulty parts. Subsequently, I had 2 more mechanics look at the damage later and they both said that the rod bearings failed because of improper installation (even a rod that didn?t break had a bearing come apart) and the connecting rod bolts were improperly torqued (over torqued / over stretched). REGARDLESS of who said what, the plain and simple fact is that the engine blew up IN 10 MINUTES, being no fault of mine, ?the customer? and it is extremely unlikely that brand new forged rods with ARP bolts miraculously failed, yet I am stuck with a $2000 bill on my credit card and a blown (non-rebuildable) motor to show for it. Not to mention the disappointment, hassle, and the fact that now I can?t afford to buy a new long block!! So the best I can do is inform all the people that take the time to research the Pit Stop, and wish someone could have told me before I got hosed.
Cons: Will avoid warranty by any means
