I go here every few years. A perfect place to hybernate in the rain. You get to see wax figures of numerous celebrities in a party room at cocktail hour. I saw Julia Roberts, Bara...

Madame Tussauds Wax Museum 6/25/2006

Madame Tussauds Wax Museum is in my opinion very disturbing. An entire building that houses nothing but wax figurines of celebrities. So many jokes running through my brain right now. The prices are also crazy. Overpriced, boring and the Samuel L. Jackson figure standing outside is starting to get on my nerves. At least when Brad Pitt was outside it was a change but now its back to Samuel. I went there once and never again. more

Madame Tussauds Wax Museum 3/28/2006

Just what I always wanted to see. A wax figure of Samuel L Jackson, Angelina Jolie and Paris Hilton all in one place. You know what would be an even better idea? Lining up the said wax figures outside directly in the path of the sun and watching them melt. They'd probably end up looking like Michael Jackson after his millionith plastic surgery. Museum way overpriced and taking up space at Times Square. more

Fun 'tourist" attraction! 1/6/2006

Fun for tourists and native New Yorkers alike, Madame Tussauds wax museum is a clone of its famous London museum. It has a large display of its famous wax figures(Michael Jordan, the pope, presidents, celebrities) dressed in glamourous duds for you to prance around and take pictures with. You must take your time as you go through the rooms because it is over all too quickly - at least 1 - 2 hours- to make it worth the admission . Well worth the visit and don't forget to take your camera! more

House of Wax 10/30/2005

Look it's a bird. It's a bird. No its a celebrity. No wait its just a was figure of a celebrity. Standing outside Madame Tussauds is a wax figure of Samuel L. Jackson that is so lifelike it can actually fool passerbys at first glance. Inside there is not much to look at. Just a bunch of famous people made of wax standing around in poses from their most famous movies. After awhile it gets kind of creepy. Rent the movies instead...except house of wax. more

The Best! 8/6/2005

If you're from NY and someone's coming to visit, you've got to take them here. My husband and I went here just the other day and we had so much fun! Posing with the figures and taking pictures was the best part. They could've made Martin and Oprah looked a little better but for the most part, everybody looks good! more
