Macfarlanes has been around forever, ever since I can remember. It is a good representation of those old fashioned homemade ice cream and confectioner candy shops from the small towns that you see in movies from the 1950's. It is a really cute shop with stuffed animals and boxed candy sets strewn all across the shelves on the walls. In the center of the shop, there's a chocolate section and to the right of that is the medium-sized ice cream glass case. I recommend buying the rocky road marshmallow chocolates to take home and treating yourself to a $2 scoop of rainbow while you're there.
