Saved money 1/24/2012

These guys fixed my Lexus after my accident and were even able to re-use some old parts the dealer said I needed, which saved me over $1,000. It also looked good as new when I picked it up more

Looked Like New 1/16/2012

I had Maaco paint a ?96 Ford Pick-up for my 16 year old son. Not only did it look like new, it cost way less than I was expecting. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone!!!! more

Thankful 1/3/2012

I had the displeasure of getting into an accident and I was stuck, fortunately I had my laptop with me and Googled collision repair shops and I found Maaco Collision and Auto Painting in Houston, I was relieved!!! I got towed there and they fixed me up quickly and there were no insurance issues. I?m thankful for Maaco!!! more

Timely and Efficient 1/3/2012

This place is the best collision repair shop I have ever been too! Unfortunately my girlfriend had damaged her car on two occasions, and we fixed her car here. The service was amazing - courteous, timely, efficient!!! Thank You guys!!! more

Just wanted to say thank you very much for your attentive and prompt service as well as meeting our service needs, you guys set my mind at ease threw the whole repair process, Hands down a great shop with great service I just wish I had found them sooner! Very knowledgeable and informative, I liked that they were friendly yet professional at the same time! They deserve 5 stars in my book couldn?t have asked for a better experience with my repairs usually it?s a long drawn out ordeal but when I went to Macco they handled everything perfectly! I will be back in the future more

Cheaper than the dealership 11/8/2011

I got into an accident in my Mini Copper and Maaco was 30% cheaper than the dealership. When I came to pick up my car it looked great and while I was there I saw that they were also doing work for other dealerships too. Now I know to come here to Maaco instead of the dealership. I highly recommend these guys. more

Don't be a fool and use Maaco! 7/28/2011

Let's just say Maaco has always had a cheap reputation, but I decided to go against my better judgement and give it a try. The reason they are 30% cheaper than other body shopsis because they put in 30% less effort. Instead of removing items before painting, they do a crappy tape-off job. They justify the crap work by saying we only charged you XYX amount and if you wanted it nice then we could do it for XYZ more. Total BS Larry (Owner and guy that you deal with there). Now its obvious to even the untrained eye that the vehicle has been painted. Thanks to Maaco, I'll be getting rid of my vehicle because the tape-off overspray marks and crappy blend will always bother me. more

Criminal!!! 6/5/2011

My mother who is 83 years old but still very independent had a minor run-in with her garage. She damaged the hood, front bumper, left fender, and left headlight on her 2007 Buick. I recommended Maaco to her as I had done some business with them in the past and they did right by me. When she got her car back I was shocked. They had fixed - if you can call it that - some parts and replaced the headlamp, but the salesman had talked her into painting her car overall with their 300 hundred dollar special. This is a 2007 Buick with 8,000 miles on it. This car was garage kept and the paint was in great condition. The 300 paint job is loaded with dirt and runs. I took the car back to complain. The 300 dollar special easily took 5,000 dollars off the value of this car. When I complained the manager tried to talk me into upgrading to their top of the line paint at a discount. Turns out after the fact this place has changed ownership and the new owners obviously have no conscience. Plain and simple Maaco is a rip-off! more

Pathetic 5/24/2011

Maaco on 9350 FM 1960 Promised to have my truck repainted in 3 to 5 days. All I needed was a small dent on my driver's door. The 5th day I contacted Maaco. They told me the truck will not be ready until next week. My truck was going to be the first in the paint booth. I called Monday and they said they it wasn't ready. They would contract me when its ready. 3 to 5 days turned into 3 weeks. Again, when I arrived at the shop I found and uneven repair job. I left it go. I needed my truck. - There was over spray around the area they repaired. Looked as if they didn't tape it off. - Paint drips on the windshield - Over spray on the rear window. - Primer sprayed on the inside of the door jams. - Over spray over most of the interior. - The window and door trim weather strips were painted. I had to replace them - They sanded the rear bumper but never painted it - They removed my bed line. Which I did not approve. They painted over the water drain holes. They took out my bed liner and it took about 10 minutes of yelling to have it replaced. -The 3rd break light was partly painted over. The entire project was a complete disaster and the management could have cared less more

what's not wrong with MAACO 5/7/2011

I had gotten an estimate from MAACO in Humble. By the time I had made all the arrangements with my insurance company to have the work done I called the number on the estimate. The person who answered the phone told me the Humble location was out of business and I had to bring my work to them 20miles away on the other side of town. I thought that was strange and called a MAACO customer service number. The customer service agent asked if I would like to file a complaint against MAACO in Humble? I told them NO!! I wanted to file a complaint against MAACO corporate and this other shop who were telling me I had to drive across town. I'm not sure what's going on with MAACO and changing telephone numbers and lying to people. MAACO wasted a lot of my time and ruined my plans. Who do these people think they are? I finally went to the shop that used to be MAACO in Humble. I can see why they do not want to be associated with MAACO anymore. more

Better service than the dealer 4/26/2011

I was rear-ended in my pearl Lexus SUV and originally I took it to the Lexus dealership to be repaired but they did a terrible job and my new pearl bumper did not match the rest of the car. I took it to Maaco to see if they could correct the problem and they matched my bumper perfectly to the rest of the car and you would never know it has been in an accident. I have taken this same SUV back to the Maaco on 1960 when it has gotten scratched and Kevin (the guy who helped me out the first time) remembered me and actually gave me some touch up paint for free to take care of the scratch. I had an excellent experience at Maaco and would highly recommend it. more

reliable place for females to take their cars 4/25/2011

I am single female who brought my Explorer in to be painted and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. It was nice to find a body shop that I felt comfortable going to on my own and it had clean bathrooms and a welcoming office. My Explorer was a 2001 and I was having it painted because I wanted to sell it. I was more than happy with my paint job and the owner was so helpful he even had it detailed for me before I picked it up. Needless to say my Explorer sold the first day I put it up for sale because the paint job was so good and made it look brand new. I would highly recommend taking your car to Maaco on 1960 because they do a great job. more

Nicest shop in Northwest Houston 4/25/2011

This shop is probably one of the nicest around, my wife have had 3 insurance claims done at this shop and every time it was super easy and the work is great. I just picked up my Lexus, this is the 2nd time for them to work to on this car and it was a great experience again. It's nice dealing with the professionals. more

Took my keys and lied to my Face 4/25/2011

This shop took my keys and lied to my face. I left my vehicle with a sales agent and signed agreeing to do the paint job at the Maaco advertised price. A day later I received a call asking for a lot more money. They said they didn't even touch my vehicle yet and it was going to be more expensive. When I complained about the added cost they blamed it on the sales agent being new. They should not have a person like that at the counter and I wanted them to honor their prices especially after already leaving my car there. They told me there was nothing they could do unless I pay a lot more. I called the corporate office and made a complaint on them to little help. They told me not all Maacos are the same and are owned and ran separately therefor they do not have to honor the advertised prices. The Maaco employees were all very rude and would never acknowledge they made a mistake and inconvenienced me. I would never have left my car there in the first place if they would have been honest about the price to begin with. Its not like they suddenly found extra damage to my car or discovered it needed any extra part. It was just a paint job where they never even touched before they called me to get more money. After reading the other reviews you can get the feel that I am not the first person who was lied to at this shop. Be careful, do not believe your estimate price, they will not honor it. more
