In ShortFamilies in or near the MGM Grand Hotel should take the kids to see this 6,000-square foot, glassed-in compound. Although lions everywhere have a reputation for too much lounging, the trainers assigned to care for this pride can often make up for it by encouraging play or by showing off with a demonstrative cuddle. There are sunny skylights, waterfalls, overhangs and greenery. Speakers emit a satisfying roar from time to time, although toddlers may find that a bit frightening.
