Lynn's Steakhouse

My experiences at Lynn's surpass all the other steak restaurants that I have dined. The steaks are prepared to your liking and the wine list is impeccable. Even the seafood, especially the Sea Bass is excellent. The staff is courteous and knowledgable about their quality menu and wines. I never have second thoughts about recommending Lynn's to anyone who inquires about a restaurant in which to have a great meal. more

I visited Lynn's for the first time about 20+years ago and have been a regular there ever since. Lynn's is like home with great staff (some have been there as long as I can remember) that knows what they are talking about. A consistent, high quality menu and food prepared the way you ask (if you are on good terms with Loic he might even make special order for you like he did when one of my guests wanted a Steak Tartar and he went to the kitchen and prepared it to the great satidfaction of my guest). Another strong reason to visit Lynn's is the extensive and broad wine list. I have and will continue to recommend Lynn's to any friends and business associates and thak Loic and Benedicte for keeping this Houston tradition strong and fresh. more

Without a doubt one of our favorite restaurants. Holidays, special occasions, or just a night out, Lynn’s is always our first choice. The owners, Loic and Benedicte, are gracious hosts and treat customers with professionalism as well as warmth and friendliness. The staff is very knowledgeable with regard to food and wine pairings. This table is definitely on our list. The service is very professional and discreet. The ambiance is cosy and warm. Ideal for a romantic dinner... The bisque soup is fantastic and I love the tomato and goat cheese appetizer. The selection of steaks is great and they make sure it is cooked to our desire. We are always very happy to eat in this charming restaurant... definitely a treat worth taking in. The food is top choice, with great selections, as I am one who prefers fish over steak. My husband loves steak, so it works well for us both. Service is always professional and friendly. The wine selection is hard to beat... always a good choice to go with any food and a knowledgable crew ready to help with suggestions. Be ready to spend a bit more for this wonderful experience... well worth the price! more

One of the finest restaurants I have ever been to. You can tell that the owners and employee's all take pride and in the service they provide. The steaks were cooked to prefection. Lynn's is top notch.Wonderful ambiance with very great service. The steaks are perfectly cooked and deliciously tender. Loic's beefsteak tomato with feta cheese and other magic ingredients is absolutely superb. We had my wife's 60th birthday celebration with about 20 people in the huge wine cellar where all four walls are covered from floor to ceiling with a vast array of great wines at good prices--it was perfect . more

My (now) husband took me to Lynn's for our first date and some year's later, it was the location of our wedding reception. To say that this is a great restaurant would be a gross UNDERSTATEMENT. Not only is the food always excellent, the owners and the staff take care and appreciate you and your guests at a level unlike most restaurants I have ever been to. For 2 people and $200.00 you can get very sub par service from a server and waiter that barely speak any english. you get a very grissly 12oz Ribeye and a Filet that has no flavour. The Steaks were undercooked. I told the waiter afterwards that Steak was horrible and he didn't say a word. He just took my plate and asked me if I was ready for the bill. This was the first time my wife and I went. We were very dissapointed and will not go back or suggest to anyone. more

Lynn's is a long time favorite with my wife and children who are now grown. The service is par excellence, the steaks melt in your mouth good. The lobster tail and gumbo are highly recommended also. Ask if the filet on the bone is available. It is not always available but, if it is - order it. You will not be disappointed. more

Went to Lynn's for my first time tonight. Immediately when you walk in you know you have arrived to something masterfully special, a superbly fine dining experience, with cuisine just as unique and service you don't find in the name brand restaurants. The ambience is rustic, the lighting romantic, and your tuxedoed waiters attend to your every need. No kids waiting tables here, the waitstaff have decades of professional experience. The selection of top cuts is unmatched to anything i have seen in Houston. You want a 3-4"" steak. You got it! I had the pleasure to dine with the owners, Louis and Benedicte Carbonnier. You can see their passion to taking care of their clients, and that they pride themselves in knowing what their clients desire. And that is why their clients come back year after year. I actually met several clients that had been coming to Lynns for 24 years. Everything is special here. I had the rack of lamb, absolutely the best anywhere, hands down! I also had the crabcake and grilled shrimp. I will tell you, the crabcake beats anything you can find in the crabcake capital, Maryland. And Lynn's has an extensive homemade dessert menu to die for. If you want to break out of the ordinary and dine in the extraordinary. Lynns is your new place! more

Can't think of a better way to impress a client or just take a friend to a special lunch or dinner. Seems like yesterday rather than eight years ago when I walked into a warm and welcoming restaurant and was greeted by the owner and that same owner still greets me and my guests. Lynn's menu has a great selection and the wine list is a great hit! I have attended parties in the wine room and what a delightful experience.\r \r I eat out often and a great meal and exceptional service are what I expect to experience.
