A guitarist's candy store. My music geek reawakens every time I set foot in here. They have just about every possible classical or flamenco guitar. Huge sheet music selection, some stuff you barely recognize, but want to take home anyways. Will definitely be bringing the squids for music lessons here. more

THE BEST 7/22/2011

This is THE BEST music store in NYC. Staff is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and laid back. Most of them are musicians, and they don't act like car salesman. They'll help you find what you want and let you browse through the store to your hearts content. High quality music lessons from extremely professional teachers as well! If you don't see something you want, they can always order it for you. more

When I walked into Luthier I was in awe. There is such a wide selection of guitars and accessories. I am so happy that I found this place so I can now live my dream. more

I found A John Price guitar, I was amazed at the beautiful tone, excellent balance and powerful projection. Well.. Now I own three J. Price guitars. Thank you Luthier Music for housing such an excellent collection of guitars, accessories and sheet music. It is a pleasure to walk into the store and not only find such a fantastic selection of sheet music, guitars and accessories but to experience the excellent service by Tony and his staff. more

I visited Luthier and I felt just like a little kid in a candy store! I truly felt like I did not know where to begin!!! I am looking forward to returning in the near future to purchase some more sheet music and try out some of the beautiful guitars in his shop. Definitely the Place to Go 6/21/2011

This place carries a wide selection of classic guitars, flamenco guitars, and more. Additionally they carry many CDs, DVDs, MP3s, Records and Music Books. It's great, I can go there and buy some music I can later download to my iPod. If you need to repair your guitar this is the place to go. But even if you don't have a guitar and you want to learn how to play it, this is definitely the place to go. more

This place is the best! I always feel welcome when i come here. They don't even mind if I hang out for a while and look around. They never try to get me to buy anything and they have an awesome selection of guitars. You can definitely tell these people care about music, instruments, and the people who play them. Go here and no where else. more

I would be happy to recommend this shop! Everyone in the shop is very helpful and patient. I did not feel pressured and they did not oversell their products. They have an amazing collection of CD's and DVD's.They also gave me lots of time to try out different guitars until i found the right one! This is my number one place! more

Sound of music 5/24/2011

My son was your typical couch potato who would only play video games and go on facebook on his phone, but recently he took up an interest in music. I was wanted to encourage his interest so I decided to get him a guitar. I saw this shop on my way to work, and decided to stop by...they were great. They showed me the differences in prices and what would be best for him since he is a beginner. I was really grateful for all their help. more

Stole guitar 5/24/2011

My friend recently had his guitar stolen from his car, and was really upset about it. He had that guitar for years I was looking for a replacement, and that is how I came across the ""Luthier Music Corporation"". For his birthday I decided to get him the Antonio Aparicio we was blown away. Although I could never really replace his guitar he has ""suzie"" now more

I had an option to buy a specific guitar at several places but I chose this place because I legitimately like the people who work here and I felt good about giving them the business. The place has the feeling to me of a ""mom and pop shop"" in my opinion. more

Excellent! 5/6/2011

The book selection is extensive and the learning videos provided for Flamenco and classical guitar are outstanding. I purchased a Conde Hermanos Guitar from LMC and have been pleased with all they provide. The staff is always kind and friendly with a welcomed smile. Excellent!! more

I started looking for my guitar, after going to a few stores in the city, a friend refer me to Luthier Music and that was it! They have the best selection of classical guitars in the city, I bought a beautiful guitar at a reasonable price and the staff was very helpful! more

Tony was attentive to our needs and did not oversell his products. He allowed us to test every guitar to make a determination based on sound. As he said ""It is not about the price but rather, it is about the sound"". more

The variety of excellent classical guitars of any price, in impressive, accompanied by an outstanding string selection made by Luthier and others. Mr. Tony Acosta the owner (whom I've know for the past 10 years) is always available advising the customers with his knowledge and truthfulness. Your experience will be gratefully rewarded. more

Warm atmosphere 4/20/2011

The people in the store welcome you in a warm atmosphere. I liked the fact that I could try out concert guitars in a quiet and nice room, with no time pressure. more
