When looking for service like plumbers and electrician, i usually go around to my local pizza shop and ask the guy there for referals. My pizza guy who serves behind the counter usually hears complaints and compliments10-15 times a week from his customers about bad experiences. So he refers me to this inexpensive private dental practice where the dental work is all done by the owner cos she prides every work she does as a masterpiece. I went into with a toothache after eating some of mom's chicken with pieces of bones stuck in. The dentist put on some opera music which was probably the worst music I have ever heard which she claimed helped her young daughter boost her IQ . The music helped drive the pain away whilst i was given two filling. The service was v.good like a perfect landing of a plane on the runway but watch out for the music. I've never really liked going to the dentist. I believe it spurred from a childhood experience, where my first dentist was quite a scary character, and very aggressive in nature. There was definately no love there, and apparently, I only found recently, what was done then, I am suffering now from. more

Having lived in NYC for 15yrs+ I have had a variety of experiences with doctors and various services in Manhattan, I cannot recomend Dr. Low strongly enough! My only wish is that I had started going to Dr. Low's practice sooner. She and her staff are exceptional. She is completely current on using the most up to date technology - ie. using computers for her Xray machine or to cast a mold for capping a tooth. It is a small practice where everyone is very friendly and I have found them to be completely flexible in appointments and working around your needs ( she works one Saturday per month & is great with kids ). Dr. Low's goal is to ""make a difference"" with patients and there is no doubt in my mind that she does. I base this reveiw not only on my experiences, but my wife is also a patient and we have recommended several friends who all have been very happy with Dr. Low and her practice. Pros: Dr. is top notch Cons: I do not have any more

I was referred by a coworker whose husband is a dentist. They used to go Dr Low. I figured if this is someone another dentist goes to, they must be good. Pros: A great dentist you can trust more
