Decent Chinese-Inspired Food 3/14/2006

If you are a stickler for super-authentic ethnic food, Louie's is probably not for you. Louie's has been a Seattle institution for decades, and packs people in for good tasting food that does bear a resemblance to food you might find in the International District. It does a nice job with dinners for a larger group or even a party. My extended family likes the Orchid Dinner menu, and the prawns in lobster sauce dish causes a near riot when it arrives at our table. more

Awesome Chinese Food 8/4/2005

Louie's has great food. We have been loyal customers there for about 3 years now and they continue to live up to our expectations. Everytime we go there we are truly happy with the food, the atmosphere, the service and the prices. The restaurant is huge so we have never had to wait for a table, even on Friday or Saturday night. The only dish which we do not recommend is the beef lomain which was a little mushy - everything is great. A definite must for chinese food. Great family atmosphere. more

Chinese anyone 7/26/2005

Aside from my favorite chinese restaurant Uptown China, I would rate Louie's as the #2 best in preparing Chinese food. Their hot & sour soup is delicious when you compare it to other places. The atmosphere is great too. Its very casual with low and dim lighting to set the mood. If you ever go to this restaurant, make sure that you try their prawns in black bean sauce. It is to die for. more

Wonderful food! The soups are always great. The dim sum is to die for! The staff is very friendly. Relaxing atmosphere. Great place to go on a date or for a business lunch. There is a bar though I have never been in that part. If you bring your kids you don't have to worry about exposing them to rowdy drunks or anything like that. The whole place is always very clean. more
