What a beautiful place to have right here in the neighborhood. more

love it 6/5/2011

Beautiful. I wouldn't recommend going on a hot day though, it is a lot of walking. Other than that, there isn't anything wrong with this place. It's beautiful, relaxung, romantic. Absolutely love it. more

Guys like it too! (And non-gardeners) 7/2/2007

It's such an amazing garden than non-gardeners, men, women, children... everyone seems to enjoy it. It really is the only garden that I don't have to drag the men in my life to go and see. I visit several times a year, since so much changes seasonally - and it is worth a 3 hour drive. (Actually we just moved and now it is 1.5 hours away, but we used to commute over 3 hours to see it all of the time.) I can't recommend it enough!! Pros: Easy to park, good signage, well paved walkways Cons: Food is not great more

Beautiful in any weather, any season 9/27/2006

Longwood is absolutely beautiful! The new East Conservatory (which is now open, in response to the negative review) adds even more interest on cold or rainy days than before and there are 3 more conservatories soon to open including a Children's Garden. The floral displays are beautiful and on a very large scale. Spend two days if possible because there is so much to see. Also, be sure to check out the fountain displays which run daily. On summer evenings they are timed with lights and music, even fireworks several times throughout the summer. These are brilliant displays definitely worth watching. Definitely visit Longwood Gardens. Pros: Beautiful Cons: Some distance from any airport more

Completely disappointed 2/3/2003

During my recent visit in late January, 1/2 of the conservatory was closed for rennovation and the Terrace Restaurant was also closed for repair. Yet, Longwood gouged visitors the full admission price for just half the attractions. Why didn't they compensate for half of their facility being closed by also reducing their hefty admission price of $12? more

Heaven in PA 9/4/2002

This is the most beautiful place I have ever been. It is so serene, and peaceful that you almost forget that we are living in such troubled times. Try going for Christmas.......it will shake the Bah Hum Bug out of any scrooge!! more

Good for all occasions 8/28/2002

Longwood garden is different everytime you visit it and it is hard to describe the place as it is composed of many mini-gardens that present various themes from season to season. Traveling to the place can be a major pain but the trip is definitely worth taking! Pros: beautiful gardens Cons: travel time more

Take Time to Smell the Flowers 8/12/2002

This is a tough category because the attractions are so diverse, I mean, sometimes you are in the mood to do some gamling amidst the lovely gaudiness of Atlantic City and other times you are in the mood to slow down a little bit, or stop altogether, and take time to smell the flowers. If you are in one of these moods, then there is no better place than Longwood Gardens, beautiful year round, with fountains in the summer and a gorgeous display of lights and seasonal decorations during the Christmas season. It would be a shame to live in this area and never visit Longwood. more

A Place for All Seasons 8/7/2002

Any season of the year you'll find beauty at this fantastic garden. Christmas is especially wonderful. We're from TX and find this to be a place we enjoy returning to when in area. Pros: Beautiful, Diverse displays Cons: Traffic tedious, weather unpredictable more

Breathtaking 6/12/2002

Each season brings a different type of beauty to the sprawling park. The sparkling wonder of the gardens under freshly fallen snow never fails to enchant, nor does the awe of the garen in full spring bloom. It's a lovely place to spend a quiet day. more
