Someone scratched the bumper on my brand new car! I am a busy dental student and don't have time to drive around town looking for an honest body shop. The insurance company tried to direct me to one of their partner shops but I did some review searching and decided on Longhorn Collision. Boy did I make the right choice! Perfect color match, car looks new again, great service and in and out in two days as promised. These guys are the real deal! more

Great place! Honest, professional, courteous and fair. Basically the whole front end of my late model Honda needed replacing. Larry kept me informed throughout the process and James made sure the insurance company paid for everything. Seems these days no matter what service industry you are delaing with there is, at least in my experience, no sense of good service, communication, or making quality a priority. These guys kept their commitments to me, finished on time, and my car looks and drives great! more

My daughter attends UT and I'm out of state and worry she may get taken advantage of from time to time. Not so with Larry at Longhorn Collision. He provided a fair estimate (not the cheapest I might add) and most importantly provided excellent service and communication. The repairs were done on budget and ahead of schedule. I hope my daughter never needs a body shop again but if she does Longhorn Collision is our Austin choice! more

Excellent work. I have a brand new Kia that's a beautiful silver and I was afraid the car would never be the same and the paint wouldn't match. I was wrong. Longhorn Collision matched my color perfectly and I can't even tell where it was damaged. These guys are great! more

I have to say I had a great experience at this body shop. My car was hit in an accident that was completely not my fault. I went around to a few shops and got the best estimate from Bo at Longhorn Collision so once I got the money for the repair from the person who hit my car I called Longhorn and talked to Larry who let me drop off my car on a Sunday when they're not even open, he personally showed up on Sunday to help me out. The repair was done excellent and on time and on budget as promised and the staff seemed to be honest and polite about the work being done and everything else. They even went as far as to give me a ride to the rental car place nearby. more

I don't usually write reviews but the service I received from Longhorn Collision begs me too.....so here it is. My son and I visited 4 body shops and Larry at Longhorn was the only one who took the time to explain the repair to us and answer all my questions without making me feel stupid. We chose them to repair my son's truck and they did what they said they would, on time and on budget. Time is money, Longhorn saved me money 4/20/2012

On April 16th, while staying in Austin on a business trip, my vehicle was broken into and ransacked for at least $5.00 worth of change. The perps broke my passenger side window. I am in sales and I usually pack any given sales trip with as many calls as I can, thus I don't allow for incidental happenings which can set me back. The desk attendant at Holiday Inn Express called a few auto-glass companies, and I called a few as well. Longhorn had done body work for my son before, so I called them. Larry was the only person who responded to my call at 7:15am. He and his staff scrambled to get all of the necessary parts to repair my window and track which was damaged in the break-in. Larry and his staff were most courteous and even led me to a tinter so I could also get that window tinted before I left Austin. In all, I was only ""down"" a few hours, then back on the road to complete my week. I've dealt with many shops in this industry in various towns, and frankly this is the only shop that I feel truly understands customer service. Kudos to Longhorn Collision Center, the exception!! I'd recommend them to anyone in need of auto body repair. more

For quick quality and customer service 4/18/2012

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!! First off, let me start by saying 3 things that I'm sure many people will relate with: 1. I'm a broke college student. 2. I'm a busy college student. 3. I highly value customer service. A week ago, my stupid apartment gate shut on me and knocked off my passenger side mirror. I was freaking out because I have work, organizations, and other responsibilities that all involve using my car. My mom called around and found the best quote in Austin for a fixed mirror, and she set me up with Longhorn Collision. They literally ordered my part the day my mom called, and I was ready to come in right after they painted the mirror to the color of my car (they didn't even need to see my car, they just did everything and had it all ready to put on)!! I got my mirror fixed for $130 flat, which is good considering I could have bought one online for about $50-70, then would have to wait a week for it to ship, then would have to figure out how to put it on myself. I do NOT have the time or patience for that, especially with my busy schedule. Although $130 is a good chunk of change to a college student, it's definitely manageable and a good price for the quality, quickness, and service you get. All of that was BEFORE I got there. & it just got GREATER when I arrived. I'll be honest- when you first pull in, it kind of looks sketchy. It's super close to campus, on S. Lamar, and you can't miss the big LONGHORN COLLISION sign on the building. It's no fancy dealership, and the outside isn't the most kept looking. BUT PLEASE DO NOT BE TURNED OFF BY THIS! As soon as you walk into the office, you'll realize that this is quality service you're getting. The couches are clean and chic, the space is very tidy, and its definitely an enjoyable place to wait. Also, I saw some super nice cars there- BMWs, Mercedes Benz's. If those luxury car owners can trust those cars there, I'm pretty sure my little Nissan Sentra will be fine there too. As soon as I arrived, Larry came to my car with a bright smile and a helpful attitude. He kept apologizing for the delay and felt sorry that I had to wait...but I didn't mind AT ALL (mostly because I only waited for literally 3 minutes until they started fixing my car). He was so thoughtful, told me to pull up into the shade, then invited me to wait in the office. There, Bo came and told me that he'd be putting the mirror on my car and it wouldn't take more than 20 minutes. IT WAS QUICKER THAN AN OIL CHANGE! I brought study materials and even nail polish because I thought it would take a while. I painted two nails, and they told me it was ready. They asked me if I wanted to see the car before paying, because that's their policy- you don't pay until you see it and are satisfied with it. But I was so happy with them already I just paid first and said I'd take a look at it on my way out. Of course, it was perfect. The mirror paint matched perfectly, and it was just like new. Larry and Bo (and also another man I briefly spoke to to ask for directions to the office) were cheerful in such a genuine way. The kind of way that makes it seem like they love their job and genuinely want to make your experience the best it can be while you're there. THAT is such a rare thing to find nowadays, and I applaud them for that. They make you feel special and welcome without overdoing it or being fake. I honestly couldn't be happier or ask for more from my experience there. So, in conclusion: if you want a modestly priced, QUALITY, quick, CUSTOMER SERVICE oriented experience, come here. more

I took my car to Longhorn Collision and couldn't be happier with the service provided. Very professional service, they took me back to work on the other side of town, and offered to arrange to pick me up when my car was ready. The work proformed was excellent, my car looks new, and the work was completed in a timely manner. I would highly recommend them. more

Fantastic Customer Service! 1/24/2012

This is my second time using this shop. They were referred to me by my father who is generally very hard to please. My father has a Ph.D. in biochemistry and has always given incredible attention to detail, so I figured that if my Dad was happy they must be a great shop. Personally, I found the staff to be sympathetic and respectful during the stressful feelings one usually experiences after a fender bender. The repair was finished ahead of schedule and saved me from having to pay for an extra day of a car rental. more

Wonderful customer service 1/11/2012

I had some modifications made to my car and the staff were amazing - everyone is friendly and goes out of their way to be helpful. I was kept fully up to speed on all the work that was being done on my car, throughout the whole process and the work was done efficiently and to a high standard. Not only that, they quoted a competitive price and ended up charging me LESS than what they quoted anyway! Great experience in all and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone. more

This is my third time over the years using this shop. They are sympathetic and respectful and always do a great job. This time the repair was finished ahead of schedule and I was out of town for the holidays but they kept it there an extra 5 days for no charge and the car looked beautiful, was clean and ready to go upon my return. I recommend them to everyone I can. more

Nicest Folks Ever! 12/30/2011

I had a window get stuck and was really worried about spending a lot of moolah right before Christmas but these guys got my window up and secure while I waited. Still needs a part but at least they helped me get thru the holidays and I will be going back to have it properly fixed. Larry, Bo and Amy are great! Nice, friendly, neighborhood shop full of great service oriented staff. more

I was paying out of pocket for the repairs so they were very sensitive to that and did a bang up, great looking job for a fair price. Not cheap; just fair. And the paint looks fantastic! Larry is the best! 10/30/2011

I had a silly (and ultimately expensive) accident in my own driveway! The situation was frustrating to say the least, but Larry and his team at Longhorn Collision made the repair process as painless as possible. He gave me realistic expectations, regular progress updates, and even had my car ready ahead of schedule! It was a costly repair, and he was sympathetic about it, rather than gleeful/smug like some collision centers are. I will never take my car anywhere else but Longhorn Collision! more

Great experience 10/24/2011

Longhorn took great care of us. They made what could be a stressful, annoying process extremely easy. Great service -- they told us what to expect, then followed through with excellent communication throughout. They simplified the insurance process, and repaired the vehicle well and in a timely manner. Larry and the front office staff were friendly and thorough. I highly recommend. I hope we don't need their services again -- but if we do, we absolutely will go back. -HH more

Steer Clear 9/21/2011

VERY similar issue to the story below. Had repairs done here, also through State Farm's ""select service"" program. The car didn't drive well from the day I picked it up so I went immediately to another shop who said that Longhorn had, for the most part, done the work they claimed to have done, but completely missed a HUGE issue with the sub-frame, which had been smashed in as a result of the impact during my wreck. The total job was over $4500 and part of that was a charge ($79.95) for an alignment. The new shop verified my car would have never been able to pass an alignment check with the tire being recessed due to the smashed frame. So was the alignment done and fudged, or was it never done in the first place but charged anyway? I took the car back to Longhorn the next day to get them to fix the frame, which Larry, without question, agreed to do after I showed him the picture I had taken. I picked up the car later that day thinking it was fine. After a month or so I started getting a really bad vibration (part of the ""select service"" program is that repairs are supposed to be guaranteed for the life of the car). I took the car in for an assessment, but I don't make a ton of money so I wasn't able to fix the car immediately so I kept driving on it with the vibration while I tried to gather the funds. More and more issues came out and finally I took it to a shop who said that the front left side of the car (exactly where my impact was) had multiple issues that were very obviously impact related. Only thing about that is I had no wrecks since the original one months before, and no one had worked on that side of the car since Longhorn had. I called State Farm back to re-open the claim and get these issues fixed. The adjusters claimed that I had ""new"" damage and Larry fixed the car as he should have, even after I showed them the picture of my frame taken the day I picked the car up months before. My picture matched exactly what the car looks like now, down to the scratches, cracks, and bends on the part in question. The response was, ""Well, I don't know what you hit from the time you left the shop to when you got to the new one."" Really?? REALLY??? My driving record is flawless and even the wreck that caused the damage was a blown tire that caused me to slam the jersey wall, so THAT wasn't even my fault. Yet they have the nerve to imply that I can't drive my car from shop to shop without getting in a wreck of some sort? STAY AWAY and save yourself the headache! --Chris Stangle more

Great Place for Getting Ripped Off 9/21/2011

Terrible place. Supposed to be a State Farm preferred vendor. Completely ripped me and State Farm off using damaged parts and not even completing the repairs. Drove away from the shop with terrible vibration, another shop then verified that repairs had not even been done. After bringing the car back to Larry, the owner, on State Farms request, he kept the car for a day and did nothing, verified by a picture of the before and after.
