This company took over another landscaping company we were using at our property and double charged us for a month. In an attempt to resolve the issue- had to get the BBB to help out. Still no resolution after 2 months of trying to get the over payment refunded. The owner refuses to call me or email me back to discuss the matter or attempt to resolve it. Not Impressed, no longer doing business with this company. more

Horrible Customer Service - I asked for a bid on some landscaping on behalf of my small homeowner's association because I had the ideas and everyone on the board like my ideas. This was our current landscaping company, and the owner Lisa Laird scheduled to come out on a Wednesday morning to meet with me. Not only did she show up on Tuesday morning without explanation or apology, the bid was way overpriced. We did not go with them for the project. They stayed as our weekly landscaper until about a year later they started pulling up the plants that the other people had put in, again without explanation, and when we tried to call and talk to Lisa, she never returned our calls and refused to replace the plants! When we cancelled the contract and sent the last payment, she claimed we owed one month as severence (news to us) and sent me harassing emails for payment every day because she had my email from the bid (again, I was not part of the HOA)!! When I reminded her that she needed to contact the members of the HOA, her response was that I gave her my address and she would continue to email me every day until she received payment. Unbelievably horrible customer service from beginning to end. I would not ever recommend this company to anyone. I don't see how this company is still in business from the other reviews I've read. more

Horrible Customer Service & Performance Problems Galore 5/14/2011

This is the WORST contractor I have ever worked with. The owner has horrible customer service skills. She did not meet any performance expectations. First she told me ""this is an easy project, we can do it in a day."" Two weeks later it was finally completed with many problems along the way. It took multiple communcation attempts to finally get a date for the project, only to find out it would not be completed in the one day. It was like pulling teeth to get dates for completing the project. Along the way the sodwas laid incorrectly. It had to be pulled up and re-laid. However they installed the sprinkler system, it caused the electrical for my fountains to short out. The final insult was the last crew broke a piece of my equipment. They didn't bother to tell me or offer to replace it. more

Not for the Clueless 2/1/2011

This company was recommended to me by my realtor. At the time, I had no idea what to look for, so it was partially my responsibility. Longhorn did do a nice job on the landscaping. However, these people did not place the sprinklers on the very outside perimeter of my yard, which I now know is the best location for the sprinklers. I also had them do some irrigation for me. Again, I was clueless, and trusted them. They did not connect all of the gutters to the outgoing pipe, and the end of the outgoing pipe came to an end in my front lawn, capped by a pop-up cap. This is not best practice, because that cap will pop off and the pipe will get clogged (which it did, of course). In addition to paying Longhorn a significant amount of money, I have recently paid $1700 to another company to bring the drainage out through the curb, into the street, where it should have been in the first place, widen the pipe, put in additional drainage box, and connect the remaining downspouts into the drainage pipe. Without these recent corrections, I would have been at risk of having a flood in my house. more

I decided to try their mainentance service to protect my investment and I am very pleased with everything they have done for me. Pros: They were on time and cleaned up everyday when they finished working. more

Longhorn has been my yard service for cutting the yard and trimming the bushes for over 7 years. This past month I asked Lisa to redo the Landscaping and my wife and I love what she has done. The workers are clean, professional, helpful, courteous, and above all, work hard until the job is done. My neighbors rave on how nice the yard looks, and how pleasant it is to congregate in the morning and evenings to catch up on the neighborhood gossip while enjoying the landscape. I would hightly recommend Lisa at Longhorn Landscaping for any of your lawn needs. Give them a call and see for yourself what a professional service can accomplish. Rude management and poor service! 3/13/2008

If you want a landscape maintenance company that is capable of doing anything other than mowing and blowing leaves, pick another company. There crews don't speak English and assume that if you point to a plant you want to cut that plant. On one visit, the crew decided to cut one of my small trees down to the size of a schrub. I told them NOT TO CUT that tree many times and they continued to cut it every visit. They damaged several of my plants and refused to replace them. Talking to the manager (who speaks English) is about as effective as talking to her crews who don't speak English. She is rude and doesn't return phone calls. After trying to contact her for over a week, her receptionist told me ""she is too busy to call you back"". I would NOT reccommend using this company. Pros: good at basic clean up Cons: the crews can't communicate and will damage plants. The management is rude. more
