Most fun at a minors league game 8/10/2005

The Long Island ducks are BY FAR the most family oriented baseball around. I have NEVER IN MY LIFE seen a game this personal. Quackerjack the teams mascott will greet everyone, it is an amazing sparkling clean stadium with contests and autograph signings. Meet the players before the game on some days, get free giveaways, dance with the guys sweeping the dirt during 7th inning stretch. The long island ducks are one of the best things that have come to long island. more

LI Ducks 8/9/2005

The Long Island Ducks baseball team are great. I've taken the children to see them on many occasions and we've always had a good time. My company owns a suite at the Long Island Ducks ballpark, so we go there, get some food, settle back & watch the game. It's very inexpensive too as compared to going to see the NY Yankees or NY Mets - you'll end up spending a fortune to go there. I really love that this one is local and inexpensive and makes for a nice afternoon with the family. more

Cheap, inexpensive family fun! 8/8/2005

The Long Island Ducks, established in 2000 in the independent Atlantic League, are a great value in entertainment on Long Island. The team's home stadium, located in accessible Central Islip, is a nice, comfortable, modern stadium. The team has always been in contention, and sports former major leaguers, on the Ducks and their opponents. The team is partially owned by New York Met legend Bud Harrelson. The stadium ticket prices beat the movies, the stadium food is quite inexpensive (and the chicken tenders and fries for only $5 is a deal) and you will get into chanting and cheering for Long Island's home team. No matter if you're a Met or Yankee fan, one thing is certain: you will be a Duck fan. more

A great time at the ballpark 8/1/2005

The Ducks are a Long Island minor league baseball team that has a great fan following. The park is easy to get to and there is plenty of free parking. Tickets are inexpensive and seats are plentiful. The park is great for families--there are many events and promotions involving the fans. The Duck mascot visits every section of the park, stopping along the way for pictures. It is an enjoyable experience and if you are in the area, you should definitely stop by for a great game and good times. Box seats are also available which provide refreshments. more

Local baseball team 7/4/2005

The Long Island Ducks have been around for about six years. If you are looking for somewhere to take the family for a night out, then this is for you. The tickets are a lot less than going to a Major League game, and the parking is free. They have great giveaways and the park is very family oriented. They also do children's birthday parties which is reasonably priced. The food stand is a little pricey, but the stadium is local so you save money on gas. more
