the Lancaster Longhorn Steakhouse is wonderful! They have a new general manager, so maybe that has something to do with it. I highly recommend it! more

This place needs new management fast! 10/30/2010

Regional Manager are you listening? I was offended by the other review on here because we were in during the heatwave and one of the managers told us the air was only out temporary in dining room. We recently learned it was out for about a week in the kitchen! Isn't that illegal? We use to love this place until the management changed. We heard from the rumor mill why he was replaced and it was likely a good thing but they really lowered the bar with both of the new managers (and not replacing the other). They both don't care about us regulars and like many we knew and use to enjoy chatting with each weekend are now no longer going there because of the management. We agree. The food quality has declined badly as well. The whole atmosphere is no longer fun and hip but down and depressing. You can see it on what few employees faces that have stayed there that they are not happy. We feel bad for them because they became like a family to us. Most of the new hires since new management are of very low quality. Sadly all but a few of the good ones have left. Having people know your name and drink is a big deal after a long week especially when you consider your dropping $100+ at a chain restaurant for 2. Now it seems no one cares and it is easy to see why- the managers don't care. The former GM was not perfect but he ran a tight ship and was everywhere there was a problems fixing it. The new GM is usually hiding in back and when he comes through doesn't say hi or even recognize you....we have been dining here as regulars for years. Not anymore. The "hispanic" manager as pointed out in the other review is just lazy. He doesn't seem bad but doesn't socialize. We never heard his use profanity but then again he spends all his time flirting at the hostess desk or screwing around in the back. The newest manager got off to a good start but like his boss, he doesn't recognize or care to notice us regulars. He needs to go like his boss- they all do. They ruined what was a great and fun restaurant. LONGHORN ARE YOU LISTENING? more

Horrible management - Will never go back 9/11/2010

Servers are hit and miss. Both the GM and the hispanic manager have run off a lot of regulars with poor service and attitudes. New manager is ok but the GM and hispanic one need to be removed. The hispanic one especially needs to go with his foul mouth and very rude anti-customer attitude. The place has gone downhill since the prior GM was terminated. He was a jerk but atleast knew how to take care of regulars and customers. The food is usually good but when it's bad it's really bad. I stopped going after a bad experience...not to mention the AC broke for over a week and I saw the kitchen using fans and leaning over food sweating in it....disgusting. more
