Damaged My Car and Wouldn't Reconcile 2/22/2014

LSV parked my car at a restaurant Addison. The valet person couldn't get it into reverse and broke the linkage trying to jam it into gear. He later told me that he was not experienced driving a standard. He had pried the shifter bag up from it's mounting attempting to look under it to see if he could fix it. The car was now undrivable due to the broken linkage. I had to have it towed. Research found that this valet had two (2) DWI's on his record. Not that this impacted my situation but LSV should not have this type of record driving cars. Spoke briefly with both Paul and Victor in the LSV claims department. Neither would return my phone calls after a couple of days. Would not disclose their insurance carrier. Victor stated that he conducted an investigation yet never once looked at my car or the damage. The last communication was a letter from Victor stating that there is no evidence that they caused any mechanical damage to my car. In my opinion the fact that I drove the car to the restaurant but it was undrivable after the valet took control of it is pretty clear evidence. more

Hello, Thank you for your comment. Since this incident, we have implemented a number of procedures to reduce such occurrences. All LSV valet attendants are ran through thorough background checks, drug testing, and DMV records before they are hired. We also conduct a series of auditing programs to ensure all the attendants are operating within protocol. We have developed a claims procedure to handle all inquiries in a professional and timely manner. Additionally, our customer service training and recognition program has been implemented to ensure exceptional service. Worst Valet Service Experience Ever 12/3/2007

This past Saturday, December 1, 2007, a friend and I frequented a nite club in the Addison area. Her car was valeted and I left my wallet in the middle console of the front seat out of immediate sight. When we were ready to leave we gave our ticket and after waiting for what seemed like an eternity we noticed the valet driver cruising the parking lot in my friends vehicle. We quickly walked across the parking lot and asked for our vehicle and he got out of the vehicle with out saying a word or looking for a tip and hurried off. The next morning when I went to the grocery store I realized that all of my cash was taken out of the wallet that I had left in the car. The next day was Sunday and I was not able to reach anyone at the Lone Star offices. Monday morning I made numerous calls to the LSV office and could not get a live person. I left numerous messages for a Paul that worked with claims and never once received a call back. Finally after 3-4 hours I called back and spoke to a receptionist and asked that I hold for Paul. She then asked my name and later came back to the line to let me know he had left the office for the day. I am aware that although it may be careless to leave valuables in a vehicle but if they are forgotten they should not be stolen by the valet driver. My concern is how many others were victimized by the LSVs this evening and other nights. The service provided by LSV was horrible and totally unacceptable. The customer service provided by this company is not acceptable and leaves a lot to be desired. Service is absolutely lousy. I expected to find at least one available person to speak to that could help handle this incident. Paul really should have delegated this incident to a colleague instead of keeping me waiting on such a serious issue. I will follow up after they finally return my call. more
