Bad Experience in Customer Service 7/21/2007

The theater at Alderwood nice, large, has comfortable seats, but it is the customer service that has caused me not to want to return. Recently, I went to the theater with a friend. We decided to get something to drink and some popcorn. When looking at the lines there were a couple that had multiple people in them and a one or two with none. After waiting, deciding what we wanted and seeing if anyone from one of the longer lines was going to hop over to one without anyone there we decided just to walk up to one of the open lines. Right as we were about to order someone physically pushes me out of the way and someone behind the counter snaps at me saying that she was here first. I assume that she was from one of the longer lines and the woman showed her that there were open ones as well. Now, I did not mind getting out of the way for someone who was there first. I DID mind being physically pushed out of the way, especially without so much as a "sorry" or even acknowledgment that I was even there. I also minded being treated as if I was deliberately trying to get in front of the women. This act severally made me angry and it was quite hard to enjoy the movie after being treated like dirt. more

Love it! 5/7/2006

I love this new theatre at the new and improved alderwood Mall. I took my very petite, then 4 year old daughter to see a movie here last summer and was pleasantly surprised that she could see the movie without sitting on a special chair or miving 100 times, so there wasn't someone tall in front of her. Great seating and I love the popcorn stations! more

What else are you going to do when it's pouring rain 3/10/2006

Much as I'm loathe to admit it, I love going to the movies. When it's pouring and freezing outside, one of my favorite things to do is drive on up to Lynnwood, pick a film to watch, and settle into some mindless entertainment for a couple of hours (unless you're seeing Syriana or Munich, which you should-- those ones are thinkers). I like the Lynnwood theater best because there is always ample parking, it's enormous and thus has tons of films to choose from, and their food selection (when I'm feeling like dropping $15 on a small snack) is pretty good, for a theater (they have Starbucks). Plus, there's an architecturally lovely mall right next door if you're jonesing for a Cinnabon or a new pair of shoes afterwards. more

Awesome theatre but spendy tickets 1/3/2006

Good: Lots of screens HUGE screens (IMAX size) Latest movies Parking is easy Close to food Bad: PRICEY! Near the mall, so theres traffic getting there Lines can be long for buying tickets NOTE: To the right of the regular ticket register is a electronic ticket machine. You can usually go get tickets there a lot faster with little or no line if you use your credit card. more

Big and Cumfy 12/30/2005

Wow! Great Sound, Great Picture!!! 16 wall-to-wall screens and right across from one of my favorite restaurants (Ruby's) I'll admit, the ticket prices can be higher than some, but buck for buck it's worth it. If you go, make sure to check out Ruby's diner right by it for a great family 50's treat! more

Reel Moms on Tuesdays 9/9/2005

A few moms and I saw a movie with our babies recently at this theater. They rotate movies (one choice/one theater) every week and it was nice to get out and see a movie without having to worry that my baby might disturb others. The actual theater was gigantic, as was the screen, with semi-reclining seats with armrests that could go up. They didn't turn down the volume or keep the lights partially on as with other theaters that offer the same service to moms, which might have been nice. Also, the movie selections aren't always baby appropriate (Brothers Grimm about girls being kidnapped or Exorcist!) but if your baby is young enough it probably doesn't matter. I would go here again, especially for the convenience of parking and being able to visit BabiesRUs after the movie! more

This is the BEST theater I have ever been to 8/25/2005

Keep up the good work. Freindly service. Fun atmospher. Good food selection. A little spendy. more

Loews at Alderwood 6/15/2005

The theater is huge! Always many movies showing. There is a parking garage under the theater. Serves Kidd Valley at the concession stand. Even when crowded, the lines for food move quickly. Movies do sell out fast though so it is best to come early or be flexible about which movie to see. Parking garage also fills up quickly but it isn't too inconvenient to park in the JC Penny's parking garage. more
