After having take out sushi from Little Tokyo before and loving it I decided to actually eat in the restaurant for my birthday dinner. We had a decent group, 5 adults and 1 child (17 months). It was a Wed night, pretty good crowd. While the food was still great as I remembered the service definitely left a lot to be desired. Our male server seemed to really want to be somewhere else. No smile and seemed annoyed each time he came to the table. At one point I had asked for crackers or something for my daughter to munch on and keep her busy (mind you, she was content, kinda babbling but not a disturbance to anyone around) our waitor informed us that no he had no crackers and that this wasn't really a kid friendly restaurant. That pretty much ruined the dining experience for me. Looking around at that point there were several tables with small children. The atmoshpere was mellow and relaxed and seemed to be a family type place. Needless to say, I wouldn't dine in again if I saw the same server. Customer service is HUGE for me and I always expect service with a smile, some nice conversation and a happy, decent person. Not what we received. At all. more

I have eaten at alot of Sushi Bars all across the country and I was shocked and surprised to find the best Sushi Bar ever located in Green Bay! Pros: The largest portions of Sushi ever; Amy more

First and Foremost 1/12/2007

The first sushi bar in Green Bay, and still our favorite. Great service, fresh sushi and great prices. Their lunch combo's are a great deal-- for about $9 or $10 I got 3 rolls and soup. At a different sushi bar across town its about $7 for one roll, even at lunchtime. And Little Tokyo does carry out so I always keep a menu in my car incase I'll be in the neighborhood and want sushi! Pros: fresh, traditional sushi at a great price Cons: not a lot of 'specialty' rolls more

My favorite sushi shop! 11/29/2006

When Koko's opened up in Bellevue, I eagerly went. That's when I realized how much I love Little Tokyo. It's sushi without pretense, it's direct and good. Nothing fancy, just quality. I guess that's what I want in a local sushi place. Pros: Great Mural Cons: Parking more

Best Sushi in Northern Wisconsin!!! 9/17/2006

For those who love Sushi and others who just like Japanese food that is cooked, Little Tokyo is the place to visit! Amy (the owner) is very friendly and greets all customers as they enter. Her knowledge of Sushi/Sashimi is outstanding and she caters to everyone's likes/dislikes when preparing their orders. The sushi/sashimi was very fresh and cut to above average sizes (quantity). The prices are average (and some below average) compared to all other sushi bars in the U.S. Contrary to popular belief, Green Bay has had an outstanding Sushi Bar for the past five years (Little Tokyo), well before another un-named Sushi Bar opened within the past year. My wife and I have visited well over 50 Sushi bars in the U.S. We consider ourselves Sushi experts and Little Tokyo is definately in the top 5 Sushi Bars we've visited. Little Tokyo scores an overall 10 out of 10. We base our rating on: Freshness of fish, quantity/size of portions, atmosphere, friendliness of staff, and easy access (parking, location etc). Green Bay residents are extremely fortunate to have this restaurant in their city. My wife and I just recently moved from Arizona to the UP of Michigan. We will gladly drive almost 3 hours to enjoy what Little Tokyo has to offer. We've visited the two sushi bars in Wausau; they don't compare to Little Tokyo in price, freshness of fish, and quantity. Visit Little Tokyo for the best they have to offer -- you won't be disappointed. Pros: Great location, parking, atmoshere Cons: None. more

love love love Little Tokyo 7/13/2006

This is my favorite restaurant in Green Bay, hands down. The food is excellent. Amy makes a genuine effort to get to know her patrons. After coming in and placing the same order a few times (no surf clam, no squid, no octopus), Amy remembered what I like and don't like and automatically accomodated me without asking. When Koko's opened, I remember how irritated I was that everyone declared that Green Bay didn't have a sushi place as if Koko's was revolutionary! Anyone who has missed this little gem on Broadway needs to visit immediately. Pros: food, service Cons: it is always freezing cold inside! more
