How can you not like this place? 3/17/2008

The last time we came here was1 yr ago and the prices are still the same! We've been coming here for years now & love the comfort food they serve. It's not your fancy snotty Italian restaurant where you're likely to spend over $20 for a plate of pasta and are paying for ""attitude"" than substance. It's owned by Asians and the cooks are Latino. How's that for diversity? The portions are big, you're guaranteed to take the other half home for another meal. There's 23 types of pasta, and veal, chicken, meat, seafood and sandwiches too. Haven't tried the breakfasts, but they're reasonable - 2 eggs, potatoes & toast for under $6. My favorite is Linguini vongole w/white sauce ($9). It comes w/either a salad (lettuce, a couple of wedges of tomatoes & dressing) or clam chowder and a basket of bread (similar to the kind served at Sizzler's). The clams are canned, of course. You can have the fresh clams with it for $15, but you get less clams. This sauce is thick and creamy, like a mornay with lots of mushrooms. Their heart attack fettucciine al fredo is also very good. The meat entress like the veal or chicken parmigiana is delicious too. It's a very casual place and the best time to come is 8pm when the crowds have thinned out. Seafood entrees come with vegts, rigatoni/spaghetti, soup or salad. They have daily specials which includes prime rib. more

nice place for a quick dinner 4/4/2007

I don't know that I would really call this authentic Italian, but the food here is good nonetheless, if you're not expecting anything fancy. The pasta is yummy, the portions are huge, and the service is quick and friendly. Great neighborhood eatery. more

Don't Agree with the First Reviewer, Great Italian Food 9/3/2006

I've lived in the Richmond District and have eaten at Little Henry's for the past 10 years. I love their Linguine with Red clam sauce as well as their other pasta dishes. I've found their service to be pleasant & prompt, never felt uneasy about bringing my kids too. Great casual place to go when you want an easy, affordable place to go for the evening. The only drawback of course is SF parking, however, not as bad here in the Richmond district as other areas of the city. Pros: Great food at affordable prices Cons: Street parking more

Great customer service and lots of food 8/5/2006

Little Henry's Italian Food has been there for 25 years. Serves Chicken Cacciatore, Seafood Cioppino, Veal Parmigiana and a host of other delicious Italiano pastas. All entrees include garlic bread, soup or salad and pasta. Big seller is their Ox-Tail Stew, a real favorite for regulars. For lunch, I've had their Philly Cheese Steak sandwich and you'll better plan for a late dinner....comes with fries and salad.\r My rant is the previous rater who seems not to know food from a hole in the ground. Rating a restaurant on Thai Tea and ravioli? Sounds like Chicken Little. I've seen parties of 15 and with kids having a great time. Patrons from the Balboa Theater come in all the time, too.\r Wine and beer are available. Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Grigio,Chardonnay and Chianti\r for your pleasure. And above all, the price is right !! BTW, I've seen so many people take home what they can't finish........ that's saying something.\r \r more

Why these folks decided to call their place: Little Henry's Italian, we'll never know. Sorry, but frozen ravioli and thai iced tea do not make an Italian dinner. If you're craving Italian food - this is not the place for it...on the other hand...thai iced tea wasn't bad.... Cons: Not Italian Food, No Flavor, Gross more
