The best Asian restaurant in town! Great food! Good service! Nice atmosphere! Pros: Great food! more

We both got sick from eating here! 1/6/2010

For lunch, I ordered the Kung Pao chicken, and asked for it to be made spicy with brown rice, My partner ordered Yushan Beef with white rice. Our food arrived and was seriously lack-luster. The tea was made with a cheap tea-bag and we were not offered a refill of hot water or another drink option. The pale attempt to make my food spicy was a joke...a person with the least tolerance for spice could have eaten my food with no problem. The food was salty and the veggies were over cooked, the brown rice was dried out and crumbly, lacking any real flavor, it truly tasted as if we were served TV-dinner quality food! The real insult was that within hours we both were suffering from intense intestinal discomfort. My partner suffered painful vomiting and I had diarrhea, resulting in both of needing to take a day off of work and suffer the extended discomfort of food poisoning....aches,lack of sleep, dehydration and loss of appetite. This restaurant will never get a second chance from us, we will tell all our friends in person and on the internet and we will file a report with the Department Of Public Health as well....for shame! To think we PAID for this food! Pros: close to the hospital..... Cons: Bland, dull food was like eating a TV dinner... more

Terrible customer service 1/30/2009

Horrible customer service. They charged me for someone else's dinner. They took forever to reimburse me. And, they did not even offer a courtesy dinner or anything else for the trouble they caused. more

Tiny portions, crappy prices, mediocre service 12/26/2008

I just ate at Ollie's and I cannot advise against it stringently enough. The portions were tiny; this is the first time I have ever left a chinese food restaurant hungry. The meals took almost half an hour to be served and the waitress didn't check back at all after she brought the food. The chicken was lukewarm, consistent with the fact that it probably spent twenty minutes on a countertop somewhere. The prices were about 14.00 a plate and the tea was a remarkable 2.00 each/no refills offered. If you're in Cherry Creek consider driving elsewhere for chinese food. Cons: Portions, prices, service, ambience more

Little Ollie's Asian Cafe 11/29/2006

Have to agree Little Olli'es not the best Chinese in town. Portion is smaller than most, service is mediocre at best. I can, however, understand the slightly higher price being in Cherry Creek. All in all, for top quality service, food, wine, and location, my recommendation goes to Imperial Restaurant on Broadway. Or their sister restaurant Palace on Monaco, not as hip, but just as good. Pros: If in Cherry and really got to have Chinese Cons: Parking, Service more

Going downhill FAST 7/18/2006

I used to love little ollies. When friends from out of town came to visit recently (we were there on a Wed. night), I took them there because they wanted Asian food. I was embarrassed by the time we left. Ollies has jacked their prices AGAIN, their servings are paltry, and most of the food was lukewarm. I am so disappointed and sad that this once yummy place has gone to the dogs. If you want scene and snobbery, by all means, head to Ollies, but if you want really good food, try someplace else, like Imperial. Pros: nice atmosphere Cons: mediocre food, way overpriced more

The Americanized exception to Dnvr's bad Chinese 3/10/2005

Well into the 80s, Denver had no Chinese food what a backward hole. Thats what Howard Stern said after his radio show was pulled from the air here (paraphrased). I dont know when Denver's first Chinese restaurant arrived, but most of them suck so badly I can see why the genre never went very far. But, of course, there are exceptions. For take out, Wok Uptown is the only option. To sit down, its Little Ollies, a local version of P.F. Changs. Like Changs, it offers inexpensive Americanized fare that is well prepared. The service and atmosphere are good, too. Ollies could benefit from some competition, but its respectable. Pros: Food, Price, Service more

The Best 12/8/2004

This is THE BEST chinese food in Denver. The Yushan Chicken is to die for, the restaurant's atmosphere is unlike most chinese restaurants in that it's nicely decorated, clean, comfortable and cozy...definitely a place you could have a romantic dinner. more

High Priced Asian... 6/15/2004

Very Trendy... but Very High Priced for the quailty Ollie offers. Good Service, but Very difficult to find parking. The small front door area makes the wait for a table very frustrating. We found the Cuisine very average considering all the hipe about the quaility, and with the tight table space the main dinning area is Not very kid friendly. Pros: Service Cons: , Parking more

Chinese for those who don't know better 1/19/2004

The food is only one step up from the fastfood Panda Garden, but twice as expensive. The menu items were trite and not particularly well executed. Our pork appetizer was dry and chewy, my chicken stir fry not at all tender. If you are looking for chinese food with mass appeal and similar ambience, you're better off with PF Changs. Cons: mediocre food more

the best 12/27/2003

Little Ollie's is delicious, hot, yummy food. My kids love it! The serves has always been very good. This is by far our favorite chinese place. We drive 40 minutes to get there. The parking is bad, but that is Cherry Creek for you. Pros: Great food, Great serves, Clean Cons: parking more

Grrreat!! 8/15/2003

This is easily the best chinese food in Denver. Unlike most of the chinese places around here, they don't put you in a dark table covered in plastic. The food is awesome and comes out quickly. Been here countless times and always have had a great server. If you complain about parking, you probably are a little slow to realize that it's not the restaurants fault. And if you have to wait, well, that's good that other people are interested. Pros: Best Rice, Quick Servie, Great more

Do Not Take It For Granted! 7/25/2003

I just moved from my lifetime home of Denver, to the Californialess East Coast. Here, the Chinese cuisine falls short of anything that I ever had on the West Coast, including Denver. Little Ollie's is a breath of fresh air to the Chinese food community! It's fabulously fresh, and oh so tasty! It's one of the only trendy, non-commerical, places that I know of to enjoy fresh Chinese food. Check it out, it isn't that bad! more

Best Sesame Chicken Ever! 5/14/2003

Every time I go to Little Ollie's, I can't help but get the sesame chicken. It is the best I've ever had. And every time I go with other people who order other menu items, they all end up eating off of my plate. The sweet and sour sea bass is also amazing. more

Fast service and great food! 11/30/2002

Great place to go for lunch during the week if you work around Cherry Creek - for quality Chinese food and fast service. more

Awful Service - Mediocre Food 11/9/2002

The service is predictably poor - even for Cherry Creek. Firstly, there is no reliable parking, and consequently it makes for a poor lunch date. The service is horrendous because: (a) you cannot make reservations for lunch; (b) they like to have you stand in line like trained pigs while they pass preferred customers through like a nepotistic sieve; and, (c) the service is slow, and the staff incredibly rude. Secondly, of lesser import is the food: which lacks any notoriety whatsoever. Everything seems to be missing something, and what should be the notables (because they are often specials) taste as if everything in the kitchen were thrown into a pan for fifteen second then slapped on your plate. Don't eat here if you like Chinese food; in fact, don't eat here if you like food and/or courtesy. Cons: Pretentious, Crowded, Deadly to Dignity more
