Michael and Jennifer are artists. They will make whatever design you bring in, but they will not allow it to look like cr*p. They know their stuff, so just TRUST THEM. As artists, they sometimes need a little reminding to get things done in a timely fashion, but those customers who are planning weddings will be very familiar with this phenomenon and should take it in stride. Doing so is well worth the patience! They made a ruby engagement ring and two wedding rings, all 18k yellow gold, for my wife and me. We brought in my half-baked sketches, and they turned them into gold. Pretty cool. And they are a DEAL. One would expect to pay a lot more for custom jewelry. And best of all, they are great to just hang out and bullsh!t with. Which is a good thing, because their store is so busy, you will probably have to stand around for awhile before Michael can give you a status report. Joe is also a great guy, and very helpful. I knew that I didn't want your average engagement ring, but didn't have a strong idea of what I did want beyond that. My fiance worked with Michael to come up with a ring design based on my tastes and style and the result is the perfect ring for me (no easy feat). I adore it and get compliments all the time. Michael and Jennifer are both excellent to work with and highly knowledgeable--we were so happy with the engagement ring we went back to get our wedding bands. They custom made a beautiful crown ring for me. It consists of stones from my engagment and wedding rings. Michael also added these wonderfully colored diamonds. I had wanted a unique ring that I felt represents both my hushand and me. Little King has met my expectations a millions times over. We will without a doubt work with Michael and Jennifer again! I had been wanting to buy myself an unconventional but beautiful ring, something individual but also something that I would never get tired of. I looked around at both vintage jewelry stores and some new/modern places, and just wasn't liking anything, everything was either too glitzy or too mundane. I read about Little King online and liked their work, so I went in. Michael and Jennifer would not have been more wonderful, they both talked with me about design and I also got a great education about colored stones. The place has a warm, individual atmosphere, you feel like you are visiting old friends right away, there is no attitude or pretention. I had a lot of ideas in my head, I was utterly confused (unusual for me; I know what I like in other types of jewelry, but I'm at a loss when it comes to rings), and the second I walked into their store, I found a ring that I loved - the combo of purple-blue and green colored stones was unconventional and modern, but the setting felt very vintage, which was ideal. I still went through lots of ideas with them, even though this ring was perfect. Jennifer even brought in samples of other colored stones for me, before I finally decided. They were creative, respectful, patient, and also, so much fun to talk to. I usually know what I want pretty quickly, but after all of my sketches and discussions with them, I wound up going with that first ring that I saw in their store, I really couldn't improve on it (and, I used to be an accessory designer!) But, I could not stop thinking about the ring in the store. Jennifer said that sometimes, a piece of jewelry just jumps out at you, and that this one really did. When I finally decided on the ring in the store, I put it on, and it fit perfectly, too (I had been trying it on my pinky until then! Every day, I look at it on my hand, watch it change color in different light, and SMILE! I will only be going to Michael and Jennifer from now on. i love my new diamond studs. i had a diamond and needed another and then set in studs. i got a new diamond and perfect setting for it. i will do business again there. i don't feel like i'm getting ripped off. more

I remember the first time I entered this little oasis on East Ninth Street. It was more gallery than jewelry store and at no time was I overwhelmed with shiny things to look at. I wasn't in there more than a minute when I found a gorgeous but oddly shaped ring that I had to have. As I went from one display case to another, with each containing more beautiful pieces than the last I knew I'd stumbled onto something special. I've never really been a jewelry person, but these "baubles" had a certain depth to them. They had soul. The owners sum it up best, "We're trying to design modern heirlooms." I was never excited about engagement rings until I went to Little King! I worked with Michael in designing my very own antique-inspired piece and it's amazingly beautiful! little king has always been my only destination for presents for my mother in law. they have created beautiful pieces for me that have made me look like a star and brought huge hugs from the mom. who wouldnt appreciate beautiful emerald earings created just for them! they always work within my budget. Their original designs are unique and beautiful. Based on their work, I had them create a companion band to an existing antique ring of great sentimental value. The ring they created looked nothing like we'd discussed, but worse they severely damaged my existing ring. When asked about the damage, they blamed it on the ring -- it didn't match their aesthetic sense so they changed it, which they'd failed to mention in prior discussions. They refused to apologize or to repair it and I had to fight them to return the deposit. more

These guys are AMAZING! My wife & I go to Little King all the time! It's an addiction. They have the coolest jewelry. Rock n' Roll stuff. Beautiful delicate girly-stuff. Cool, unique & original designs. Much better than Chrome Hearts - & they're far more reasonable - & will make custom jewelry for you. I got my now-wife a diamond engagement ring from them - GORGEOUS! - it's by far the prettiest engagement ring either of us have come across - designed by Michael Regan - that continues to draw "oohs"/"aahs" & questions of "where did you get that?" from all my bride's friends & family. I purchased my wedding band and presents for my bridesmaids at Little King. I was not the easiest customer - changing my mind constantly, adding requests, and wanting the perfect product. But Jennifer and Michael were unfailingly wonderful to work with. They created absolutely beautiful products that were very reasonable priced. I brought my girlfriend here, and she absolutely fell in love with a ring she saw there. I knew this had to be my engagement ring to her. Michael and Jennifer were amazing, helping me every step of the way, listening to what I wanted and creating it: customizing the ring to match both me and my girlfriend.
