Great Products and Services 8/5/2010

I would reccomend Ling products and services to anyone with sensitive / acne prone skin. I've tried so many other products both over the counter and prescription and nothing works for me like the Ling products do. They are natural and gentle and you'll see results. The facials are fantastic too! more

Great service and results 3/2/2010

I have only had two other facials (at two different spas) before my experience at Ling. Ling was easy to get to and the staff greeted me the second I walked in. I was offered tea/water and was led to a relaxation area as I waited for my aesthetician. The room was on the small side, but very nice and clean. Carol introduced herself and asked me about my skincare routine. I changed into the silk robe (some said it was too hot/sweaty, but I was comfortable). As I was laying there she was examining my skin and she began pitching her recommendation. I'm no pro, but this had happened at both of my prior facials so I think it is pretty commonplace. I was expecting to spend about $200 by the time I left, between my services and tip, I ended up spending about $325, but it was worth it. I got their Oxygen Facial (which I think is on sale) and the triple peel. Carol was really great about explaining each step and I think she was very thorough. There were a few moments of excruciating pain during the extractions, but when I walked out I had very little redness and no swelling/sores/redness so she must have the correct technique. On my way out she told me about all the products she used that day, an at home facial kit (as I told her I wait about a year between facials) and their daily product line. At this point I hadn't yet seen the final results, so I asked for some samples before I committed to buying the line. A week later I had a big party to go to and I have never received so many compliments. My skin was glowing and radiant (definitely not the norm for me). I had scheduled another facial with Carol on April 14th (would have been 8 weeks later, and I had planned on canceling anyway), but I just called to reschedule for the end of March because I don't want my old skin to come back. It is definitely a splurge, but it makes me look and feel great. Pros: nice staff, great results, location Cons: expensive more

Great Products, but interesting experience w/Facial 2/2/2010

The salon is super nice, the products are amazing! I bought a starter set because my skin felt so great! Where I'm struggling is the whole facial experience. I'm in the bed starting the experience and I went from a $125 customer to a $330 customer in the matter of one wash and a conversation...And the esthetician maybe was in the room for a total of 20 minutes... for a 2 hour facial. She would put on a mask and leave for 15 minutes, come back, put on another mask and leave for 10 minutes? I couldn't quite figure it out... the massage was not impressive and I truly go to a facial for the experience and relaxation as much as the products. I def will use the line... not so sure I would go back... when I told the front desk girl... she giggled and said, I'm so sorry your first experience was not that great... and I took my products and left... OK then... more

great 2/28/2009

Great place. I went there a few times for a facial. The atmosphere is soothing and relaxing; you cannot help but fall asleep. Facial are a pain, and everybody who has one, knows. I was helped by Mary. She was very nice. She was very gentle, or at least as gentle as she can be. When i had a facial from other other places, it hurt a lot more and the person administrating it .... could careless if i was in pain. The key here is detail. If you are considering coming here I would recommend Mary. Pros: very attune to detail Cons: none more

Certainly will recommand to everybody 2/19/2009

Going to Ling Skincare is one of my every 2-week rountines since April 2008 when I needed some facial cleanings for my wedding in June. My boss told me about this place and recommanded Carol, who she has been seeing for over two years. I don't have big problem with my skin but they are really dry. I use their facial toner and lotion (Oxygen + Vitamin C cream) twice a day. Basic facial and hair waxing every two weeks, and I treat myself to their tripple-peel and IPL facial every 4 to 6 weeks. I like going there also because it's a nice and quiet place to soothe myself. Consider its convenience location and good pricing, I will recommand this place to everybody who deserve nice treats. Oh, there is a Farmer's Market at the corner of the street on Saturdays. I highly recommand you ask for Carol when you call. I think she has good hands. My sister-in-law, who I recommanded Carol to her, said so, which I won't be surprised ;-) Pros: Convenient location, Friendly Carol, Good service more

Happy Customer 2/11/2009

My girlfriend, Cherry, is an esthetician at Ling Skincare. So I use their products and have had many of their treatments. As a result, my skin is in the best shape since pre-puberty. Before using Ling's products, I used Proactive for about 3 years. Proactive was the best over-the-counter acne treatment I ever used. It helped limit the break-outs, but there were a few things I didn't like about Proactive. One, it made my skin very sensitive to the sun and cold. And two, it bleached the collars of my clothes that came into contact with my face. For a period of time, I only brought white color clothes. Thank god I'm well connected, I know I can't afford Ling's products. If money is not an issue, you can't go wrong with this upscale establishment. Thanks for reading. Pros: Great location more

I have been going to Ling Skincare for over a year now, my esthetician have been Cherry since my very first visit. She's very professional and friendly. I couldn't recommand her enough. She educated me on proper skincare and the importance of keeping my skin hydrated . Besides the great facial massages and treatments, I love the products, especially the moisturizers. Pros: Service, Products, Environment more

Truly A Remarkable Skin Care Line 2/5/2009

I have been a devotee of Ling Skin Care from the first time I bought a bottle of the Purifying Facial Cleanser 5 years ago, on the recommendation of a friend. Every single product I've tried from the line has been outstanding and I never worry that I will have an adverse reaction. They also provide exceptional customer care. more

Best Facial Ever!!!! 7/22/2008

I recently had a facial at Ling Skin Care and would completely recommend this spa! The convenient location made it easy for me to get too and the calming atmosphere was great! Considering this was my first facial I was a little apprehensive but found my esthetician sweet and very thorough. I have heard extractions could be pain full but found that mine didn?t hurt and I was able to walk out of the spa with no redness or pain. The best part of the facials here are the long term benefits. My skin has been glowing for the weeks. Through my research and comparison of other spas, the facials here are high of the highest quality!!! I would recommend this spa to anyone! more

Less Pampering than Bliss, But Just as Good Results Plus Great Products 1/27/2008

There's only one soft spot in my iron clad budget and that's for spas. And i am not one for pampering (although I love it) - I am more results oriented, so if I pay a ton of money, I want to come out with my skin looking flawless and healthy. I have been a patron of Bliss Spa in SoHo and 57th Street for over 5 years. Recently, Bliss increased its prices once again and it made me reconsider if my every 6 week facial there was getting a bit ridiculous (over $500 a visit as I also got microdermabrasion and other special add ons). Don't get me wrong - I love Bliss. But I thought it was only smart of me to find a new place that delivered the same results at a lower cost. Yes, I did not receive as much pampering. But the extractions were relatively painless and the triple peel mask was fantastic. I was skeptical when I left, but they gave me some free products and after over a week and a half my skin looks even better than when I left. I am *honestly* shocked. I spend a ton of money on skin products (SkinCeuticals, DDF, Dr. Sebagh, Mario Badescu etc.) and always have a hard time finding a regime that doesn't overdry or undermoisturize my 28 year old skin. Ling's face wash and toner is amazing. I bought small sample sizes and am now compelled to go back (much to my chagrin, as I was not very nice when I left....I was going through Bliss withdrawal). I am pleasantly surprised and so glad to find a new place. Yes, i am certain I will continue to go to Bliss twice a year for my pampering. But Ling is the next best thing and I actually like the products better. Next time I am just going to ask for an extra neck massage while the mask dries. Even with that, I'd probably still only end up paying around $300, which is a great bargain for how awesome my skin looks and feels. I would strongly recommend this place if you are results oriented. And ask for some samples - the Oxygen Plasma is divine. more

great! 1/17/2008

the service was great! i just got my facial yesterday so i still yet to see the result. but i had such problem skin i'm not expecting immediate result.. anyhow, i had ann, and she was very sweet. she explain everything how i should do to improve my skin condition. she recommended what's the best service for me, it wasn't what i was planning to do so i rejected, and she's not pushy about it. when i left she gave me bunch of sample products for my skin type. she let me know what she's doing beforehand so i don't get any surprise bills. overall the service was great, staffs are attentive and the atmosphere is nice. Pros: good service Cons: pricy more

Only place I've ever had results! 10/12/2007

I guess you could say I'm a skeptic when it comes to the beauty industry - I understand that its all about selling and pampering, and theres tons of things out there being sold as "skin care" but they don't do one thing! Having said that, I've been a product junkie for years - I have drawers full of things that are for dry skin and combination skin, but nothing has been able to fix my flakiness or beat my blemishes. That is of course until I started using Ling Skin Care and experiencing their facials! First off, the triple peel facial is amazing. It gets rid of all the flakes and the extractions are so thorough its like loosing 10 lbs from my face! Its not massage intensive and the extractions are a tad painful, but considering the results I'm more than willing to pay the price once a month! Its also nice knowing that the products they are using during the facial are their own and that nothing is a secret. I went ahead and bought the toner for dry and I treated myself to one of the o2 + c moisturizers and the combination was worth it. FINALLY - a facial and products that have made a visible difference in my skin! I highly recommend this place if you want results oriented treatments and products. Pros: results, products more

LING BEST FACIALS IN TOWN 2/20/2007

I have been getting Ling facials since last year at Union Square and my skin has never looked better. I used to get alot of bumps and pimples, but now my skin looks flawless. The atmosphere is extremely relaxing and the estheticians are very caring. I also went there for my FIRST BIKINI WAX , the girl was quick and very reassuring and I left without any irritation-- considering what I had just gone through. I will definatley continue going back for facials and I MIGHT even try a BRAZILIAN ha ha . Pros: Service Cons: None so far more

Go and Try for yourself! 9/3/2006

Since it was pouring outside, my girlfriend recommended that we go to get a facial at this place that she heard from a friend. THANK GOD! I have never had a more thorough facial before. Try the Ginseng Herbal Facial with Triple Phase Peel. It made my skin smooth and glowing when I looked at myself in the mirror. I think her name is Ann and my friend had Mary. Alittle expensive $202.80, but totally worth my face. I gotta be seen you know! more

Best Treatement In Town 7/23/2006

I write for a fashion magazine that I'll not mention in this review (conflict of intersets) but I decided to try Ling's Spa after a bad experience I had at Bliss. My esthetician was Maria. She gave me their "tripple phase peal" and was very kind, professional, courteous and made me feel extremely comfortable. She put me on a very detailed and knowledgeable regimine for a wedding I had to attend in two weeks...I'll just say that I end up looking better than the bride. I highly recommend this place. Now only if I can get me editorial director to let me give them some page space. Pros: Knowledgeable staff with heavenly hands Cons: none more

I'm A Guy's Guy and even I'M HOOKED! 7/23/2006

So I had a friend pay for me to get my first facial there. Now I've never had bad skin, pretty smooth not many problems over the years. I had Maria when I went there....HER HAND WERE AMAZING, and the garbage she got out my skin, well that was Gross but either way I never knew I had so much congestion. She gave me a microdermabrasion with these fine salts sprayed on my face, then I got an rescue peal. I'm excited because I'm going back next week to get the famous Tripple Peal facial everyone is ranting about. If you go there ASK FOR MARIA!!!!! She's friendly and answered all the questions that I through at her. Even though I didn't pay for the facial I gave her a $50 tip because my skin is like a baby's bum right now. Pros: best skin of your life Cons: none at all... more

my skin has never looked this good! 7/10/2006

i've never had problem skin. . .that said, it's never been perfect either. carol is extremely knowledgeable -- during my first visit, she recommended a facial with a triple phase peel. she walked me through each phase of the facial, so i understood everything that she was doing. when i left, my skin looked amazing. it was glowing! and it's the same result every time i go. i finally i have the clear (close to) flawless skin i've wanted since i was a kid. thanks, carol! Pros: excellent, expert skin care in a tranquil environment Cons: expensive (but well worth it) more
