BAD FIRST IMPRESSION!! I took my husband in for an appt....(I had been seen by PA-Suzanne with good results.) However, this appt. was awful. Waited over 45 min in an empty lobby, mind you. Had an 8am appt and it was quiet. Saw PA-Bess and she spent less than one minute...merely seconds... to look at husband's face. She proceeded to mumble about sunscreen as she walked out the door. Next thing, we were told the procedure needed prior authorization which is untrue. We have had the same procedure/diff DR/same ins. - with no auth for years. They just wanted the 2nd co pay and a rtn visit. It was going to be 2 weeks- told to us by the nurse. I even asked if that was all the time with the Doctor, mentioning it was short. Nurse's reply was...""yep"". So, as we left we handed the instructions to rtn back to office staff. \r Staff said, ""do you wanna make another appt?"" \r We replied, ""no, we won't be coming back.""\r Staff's reply...""Perfect!""\r And this tipified the first impression! \r Too bad...used to be a nice office. Now, I need a new Dermotologist! more

The wait was over an hour an a half,never got to see the doc 12/17/2011

I am not a new patient however the appointment today was for my son. We originally had an appointment today at 2:30 we were called by the doctors office in the morning to see if we could come in earlier. I agreed to 1:00. We waited till 2:25 and still were not seen. I did complain to the front desk staff who really didnt seem to care at all. I told her that we had been waiting well over an hour and we were leaving so she said "" Ok See ya"" Based on this I will now be looking for a new doctor for me and my son. more

Front office staff is incompetent! 11/9/2011

I don't know where the good reviews for the office staff are coming from other than maybe written by Woodson's staff. The doctors were wonderful, but they really need to check up on what their front office staff is doing. It has been a nightmare to try and get them to find referrals faxed to them from a primary care physician. For weeks they told us it was never sent, then they finally ""found"" it and by then it was expired and we had to start all over again. We finally got a biopsy done and again for weeks we have been waiting for them to fax their biopsy and referral to the cancer derm. And, they referred us to a physician that isn't covered by our insurance(something the cancer office said they should have been aware of). So I'm having to do their work for them and pick up the papers and drive them over to a new cancer derm. Avoid this place!! more

THE PA-C IS HORRIBLE 6/10/2011

My appointment was at 1:30 and was brought into a room on time. I waited for the doctor for about 5-7 mins. Bess Paragas asked me what's wrong and I showed her my skin problem. She looked at it and said it's so and so thing. She said she would be right back that she would get a creme. I waited for 10-15 mins and the assistant walked in with my prescription. I told the assistant where Paragas was that I had question that were never answered. 5 minutes later she comes in and says Okay what questions do you have for me with this nasty attitude! I got pissed off and walked out and said thank you! So this thing she prescripted better do miracles. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! I SURE WILL GO TO ANOTHER OFFICE! more

WOODSON? THEY SUCK! 8/25/2010

Went like. . .1998? Have been out of Vegas 4 years and now out of nowhere these losers post something on my credit report showing a delinquent account from 10/2007? Note - haven't been in Vegas since 2006. Anyway, when I went? Was covered by TriCare military ins and my own employer's ins - had no unreimbursable charges. Seriously? Way to ruin someone's credit from your error. Note ""big issue"" is a supposed $84 balance. THEY SUCK! more

I have heard great things about this dermatologist office through friends and co workers. With my experience with other doctors offices I was a little nervous, but when I called to ask a few questions I was very pleased with the polite phone person,they answered all of my questions. I am unable to make an appointment right now but when I do this office will be the first I call. :) more

Best Staff of any office Ive ever been to 3/9/2010

The staff at both offices are careing and courtious. I had laser hair removal and after only 2 treatments - I have Excellent results! Thank you Woodson Drs, PA's Nurses and staff for such a wonderful experience. Pros: multiple services more

Great Doctors Great Staff 3/1/2010

I recently had the privelage of being a patient at Woodson, and I must say in my history of doctors they have to be one of the best in Las Vegas. The front office staff was very kind and courteous and welcomed me to their office. The nurses were very nice and took me in a very timely manner, and the doctor was absolutely amazing. He covered every concern I had and actually took the time to talk with me. I was given prescriptions which helped dramatically. I would just like to say that they will definitely be my dermatologist of choice and who I recommend to others. Pros: Friendly & Professional more

Their Billing, not the best in the world 6/9/2009

My wife made one trip to this doctor. She was not happy with the service she received while there. Everyone is not going to be happy with his or her service, you can't make everyone like you. My problem is with their billing. We have been receiving bills monthly without fail since her appointment in September of 2007, almost two years ago. The bill states that we do not owe any monies, but it does show an account balance of $87.00 over 120 days late. We have called and they say no problem, they are billing the insurance, but it makes me wonder when they may stop trying the insurance company and just come after me and then tell me to get the reimbursement from the insurance company myself. Woodson Dermatology 1/20/2009

I am a patient of Woodson Dermatolgy for about 8 months now. I had a really bad acne and they took care of it and cleared me up. My face is now really clear and I have beautiful skin. During my appointment there was a bit of a wait, but what doctors office does't. The staff there is so are kind and feeled me in every 5 min. The front office staff always had a smile. The staff at Woodson Dermatology make you feel very welcome. The nures are very helpful and answer any question needed. I never have a problem with the billing department. I have an appointment next week and look forward to meeting the people on the cosmetic department. more

Best Dermatologist In Vegas! 1/20/2009

After having horrible skin problems my entire life, I decided to take a chance on this dermatology office. I came to find out upon my arrival that they were extremely helpful, polite, and knowledgable. The wait for my appointment was a little long, but the front office staff was very apologetic and once I was seen by the physician's assistant, I felt much better about my decision. I would reccommend this office to anyone having to deal with long term skin problems. My face has cleared up a bit from my initial visit, and feels much better. before i was a patient at woodson dermatology i always heard what good dr.s they were very and pleasant and very helpful i would highly recommend them to anyone who has skin problems of any kind they are very caring and try their best to make the patient happy and helping on solving the problem for the patient , sometimes theyre can be alittle of a wait to see them but at the end it is worth the time to see them and everyone is trying to get in to see them cause theyre that GOOD ! in my book they should be voted BEST DERMATOLOGY OF LAS VEGAS !!!! the staff is is very helpful and very pleasant and always greet me with a good smile and i leave very happy every time . , ms . gross more

my skin looks great! 1/14/2009

i have had problems with acne since highschool and being an adult it has seemed to get worse. after a couple months of seeing the dr's and pa's, my face and body acne is almost completly healed! the aestheticians also worked great together with the dr's to clear up my skin more

if you are looking for a dermatologist then woodson dermatology is the best one out here in vegas! ive seen just about every physician there. the doctors and p.a.'s are amazing. when other offices couldnt figure out what was going on with my skin i finally stumbled across this office and figured why not. needless to say i made the right choice in going there. i may have to wait a little bit to see the doctor but the wait is well worth it !! staff and doctors are great there and make you feel at home!! Woodson Dermatology 10/28/2008

The billing department billed our insurance wrong over a year ago. I was told last year by the Office Manager Ms Brown, it would be corrected. WRONG. The billing office only excepts calls on Tues and Thrus from 8:30AM to 12 noon. Good luck waiting on line. Also Ms Brown will not take a phone call. Also Dr. Woodson will not return calls. I had a reaction from psosrasis shots and I called 3 times and no one would call me back. I went in and a nurse said they are booked so close together (per Dr Johnyy's instructions) they don't have time to return calls. We need to send a message and just stop going to him. I know I won't return. I have personally told him so and he just shrugged his sholders. Cons: I have nothing good to say about his office more

Billing Dept. Problems- AGAIN! Sent to collections. :( 6/19/2008

This is my second BAD experience with the billing department. My husband and I went in for the same procedure in 2007. They tried to bill me for my procedure, and I finally got it figured out after much hassle between the billing company (Lab Medicine Consultants) and my insurance company. Now, 3 years later, they are trying to bill us for my husband's procedure! Again much going back and forth with them and my insurance to no avail. And now they have sent me to collections for a payment that is NOT my responsibility. more
