I really enjoyed eating at lime and basil on franklin st. If you're looking for authentic vietnamese cuisine this is the place. Check out famous vietnamese soup called PHO, where you can choose what kind of meet you want in it. make sure you ask if you don't know what's what otherwise you will get cow's stomach lining. also try the bubble tea, it's yummy. more

Vietnamese food 4/16/2006

I had never had Vietnamese food before coming to Lime and Basil, so I don't know if it was very authentic or not. I just know that it was very tasty. The entree prices are reasonable, ranging from about seven to twelve dollars. Their spring rolls are excellent, and you should definitely try the bubble tea. more

A great choice! 9/1/2005

Lime and Basil is a great little Thai place right on Franklin Street. It has a casual atmosphere, with lots of students eating there. The food is very good and the staff friendly. I love thai food, but this is the first Thai place I've found since moving here from Greensboro, which has lots of good Thai places. I'm very pleased. The curry dishes are excellent, and although I haven't tried them yet, the noodle bowls look awesome! more

Authentic Vietnamese Food 7/31/2005

The Vietnamese food at Lime & Basil is very good, probably the best in the triangle. Considering the location, it also happens to be very cheap. My Lemongrass chicken and spring roll were only $8.50. I have had people tell me the service is lousy because they are usually packed, but I went for a late lunch with friends and we were the only people there. Our waiters were very helpful, attentive and friendly. more
