Fun but beware 4/9/2006

Fun place... Music can be very loud, and I've frequently been overcharged there, so tripple check your bill. Food is good, rather limited choices. more

cool 4/4/2006

best night to go is friday..this is my watering hole before 10PM Cons: terrible chips! more

I love Lime 10/7/2005

Lime is a definite place to check out on the weekend nights. A great time to go is the post-happy hours (7pm-10pm). Great atmosphere, funky tunes, plenty of good looking people, and awesome drinks. If you think their margaritas are good, you should try the Long Island Ice teas (to die for!) Bartenders are friendly and the new manager is the BEST. Cheers- HotSauce Pros: Long Island Ice Teas, Atmosphere/crowd, Bartenders Cons: Cigarette smoke more

Get a locals card 3/29/2005

you can sign up for a free locals card on their website which gets you buy 1 get 1 free meals sun-thurs which is a killer deal. happy hour 4-6 is $2 margarits, which are excellent with their house made sweet and sour. unfortunately my wife will not go with me anymore because their chips are terrible, definitely their biggest weakness but personally I just don't eat them. Pros: Best Margaritas, Buy 1 Get 1, Happy Hour Cons: Worst Chips more

Unique Night Spot 1/5/2005

I was impressed with Lime. The dining experience began with a shot of tequilla out of a lime and with the server explaining the menu. The chips and salsa were good. The decor was was trendy and hip. I liked the fact that although there were more than just me and my party we could only hear our conversation. The portions are generous (but just so so) and the margaritas are strong and worth every penny. And to top it off they also had great music. Pros: good decor, good food, great margaritas more

Larimer Square's Gem 12/17/2004

Lime restaurant came into the scene 2 years ago with the intention of creating a wonderful and original new age diner. The bar scene is excellent and defined by it's array of specialty drinks. The food is twice as original, bringing a sophisticated American flare to Mexican food which the general public is not exposed to everyday. Prices are great, and the beautiful and friendly staff make this a must-visit while in the downtown area. Pros: Great Food, Easy to Find, All around excellent Cons: , Gringo Salsa more

Freshest I've tasted in years! 11/14/2004

My husband and I chose Limes for a late-afternoon, rainy Saturday snack. Being in town from Alaska, we found the atmosphere totally fresh and relaxing, the service perfect, and the food e x a c t l y to our liking! So fresh, no skimping on the lime or cilantro. Made us wish we were there for a larger meal and could stay an hour or two longer than we could. We DEFINITELY plan on dining here next time we're in town. Pros: Tasty!, Fresh food!, Good atmosphere more

**Yummy*Margaritas!!! 8/2/2004

My friends and I went to Lime over the weekend, & we all had such a GREAT TIME! The staff was fun, the margaritas got me trashed, the scorpions, & chips were soooo tasty. I will go back soon. LIME is my new FAVORITE RESTAURANT in Larimer Square. They even have 3$ drinks almost all night on Thursdays, for their cheesy 70's & 80's night. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Lime if you're wanting to have a great time!!!!! Pros: THE best margaritas, smokin' hot guys, inexpensive menu more

Service Needs Improvement!!! 7/25/2004

A group of friends and I tried Lime out for my birthday celebration and my friends are what made the night fun, definitely not the service. Our server was rude and had attitude! We went over 30 minutes never seeing her and to get a drink or anything else was like a chore for her. I did enjoy the margaritas and the chips and salsa were good. Pros: chips and salsa more

did you say ""cheese"" 7/11/2004

went to lime on a thursday night for a decent drink special $3.00 they call it. turned out, they were playing all of those cheesey favorites from the 70""s and 80's. what a hoot. the girls i went to meet were singing all night long...kung fu fighting to girls just want to have fun ace of bass and the cure..what a great time! Pros: good looking crowd, good drink prices, very strong margarita Cons: , hung over, strong margaritas more

patio party 7/11/2004

friday night on the patio... great music, great food...had something appropriately named a scorpion. super hot! and this party starter called the lime salute. everyone gets a free shot of tequilla to start the evening. nice touch! then came the margaritas! very strong! very good! best margaritas in town! and if you think rio's margs are strong...lime has them beat. moderately priced food. try the margarita chicken! this place is the best kept secret. you have to go downstairs but its worth it. Pros: great food, great margaritas, great value Cons: , strong margaritas more

ALWAYS good!! 6/23/2004

First time I went with a friends bachelorette party. Had the time of our lives!! Best Mojitos, great food, and CHEAP too!! Staff took great care of us even though I'm sure we were a handful. Is a standby spot for us for drinks or dinner anytime we are downtown. Pros: Cheap, Easy, Great people watching more

Great bang for the buck 6/23/2004

Always have a great time at LIME. In a city where too many mexican restaurants are way over rated and over priced, it is refreshing to find a hip spot in the heart of downtown that offers such reasonably priced fare with great consistency to boot. Have nothing but solid praise for Lime and what they have to offer. The only place I'll sometimes opt for a margarita of the frozen variety too. Pros: Hip/ cool lounge, Great Margaritas, friendly staff Cons: , crowded on weekends more

Great place to hang 6/22/2004

Lime is a great place to go for happy hour with friends or co-workers to have a great margarita and listen to some of the best house music mixed by some local DJ's. Definitely a place where friends and I frequent. Pros: Great Drinks, Laid back atmosphere, Music to groove to more

Fun and friendly 6/19/2004

After eating at Tamayo serveral times (and being underwhelmed). I thought I would try Lime. What a treat! Instead of the snobby staff and overpriced food I found a friendly staff and reasonalbly priced Mexican food. And the Lime saluts are awesome! Pros: great food, nice decor, strong margaritas Cons: , should replace Tamayo more

Great Time Had By All!!! 6/19/2004

After reading the reviews (none recent) I was very reluctant to go to Lime with a group of friends. Boy, were my worries unwarranted! We had the best time and stayed 2 hours longer than we had expected to! The place was packed (on a Thurs), and 8 of us all had awesome meals (4 male-4 female). I had the Scorpions which were fantastic and spicy and 2 of my friends said it was the best chimachungas (sp) they had EVER had. The frozen margs seemed twice as strong as Rio's (which is why we go there) and twice as good. Service was nice and good considering how busy they were. Maybe things have changed there, but we wish we had found it sooner. Lime ROCKED!!! Pros: Food, Margs, music/scene Cons: , hard to find more

Go for the Margs, not the food 11/12/2003

I LOVE Lime Margaritas, but the food is below mediocre. It is overpriced and barely edible. Lime is a trendy, fun place to go for margaritas, but plan to have dinner somewhere else. more

Not Great 10/22/2003

Avoid this one if you can. If you get drug in here on a date, order the chips and salsa, and get ready for bad service. Mediocre mexican food, the kind you can make at home easily. Okay drinks. Rude staff. Very hip, but too hip for everyone who doesn't work there. Pros: Chips and Salsa Cons: Everything else more

Eahhhhh, 8/29/2003

The food was only OK. The decor was neat, trendy. The bar looked more exciting than the dining room. Go there for the socilization, not the food. The margaritas sucked. Pros: trendy Cons: no parking, loud, lackluster food more

Pathetic 8/18/2003

Get these people off of their pedestals...... The attitude, the pathetic attempt at being hip and trendy, and the poor service is compatable with their equally worse margauritas. At least Lime is consistent. From all levels, bartenders, servers, and managers alike, there is a constant level of condescension. If you don't have an even bigger attitude to successfully contend with theirs, do not waste your time or your money for this poor service, bad food, and bad drinks .... Cons: everything more
