Very Cute Breakfast Nook 4/3/2006

My husband and I were visiting Seattle for the first time and two of our friends took us to a great little breakfast place called The Library Cafe. The biscuits and gravy were supreme...and that's coming from someone living in the South where people know how to make some great biscuits and gravy. The coffee was also supreme. Being from an area with a lower cost of living, we were surprised at the price of simple breakfast items...but it was all so tasty that it overrided the cost! If we lived in Seattle, we'd go there often! more

I'll take a little bit of everything 3/29/2006

Oh my gosh, I can't believe I've made it this long without discovering Tea Time. Imagine your own three dish "snack" that includes blueberry crumpets, mouthwatering bacon and egg quiches, petit fours, fruit, and cucumber, dill and cream cheese sandwiches. Alex and I were in absolute belly heaven! Of course everything was accompanied by our own pots of tea. The Library Cafe is an interesting combination of bookstore, coffee house, and restaurant in a building that used to sell hearths. Thus, fireplaces are aplenty As warning you do need to reserve a table for tea at least 24 hours in advance. I heard service here for other meals can be sketchy, but we had no problems on our visit. more

library foods 9/14/2005

I haven't actually been here yet, but I heard its a really great quiet place to eat out at. Good coffee, and cheap prices. The Library Cafe used to actually be book shop but I guess they started serving food after a few years to gain more customers which is greta, because I always see people there. It's just a greta wuiet place to chow down on some sandwhiches and coffee, so check it out, and so will I. more

The Library Cafe.... 7/26/2005

Want to find a great and quiet spot to sit, read a book, chat with some friends, or just grab a bite to eat? The library cafe is the place. It provides a warm and casual environment for anyone. It started out as a small library where you could come and read books or check some out, but a couple of years later, they expanded and added a food and beverage menu. They also do little "tea parties" where you and a friend can order a cup of coffee or tea, and a tri-platter full of different varieties of desserts. They also make great salads and tasty club sandwiches. So go and check it out! more
