Place for chicken and Seafood 8/19/2005

Here in lexington market, you get everything what u want starting from vegetables, fruits and non-veg and seafood. But the place is not clean and the environment here is not decent. wants to have quantitative food and need to compromise a bit on quality it would be the perfect option. Would have been a great place if more attention in given on the ambience and structure. more

An Open Air Market with History 8/15/2005

I don’t know how long its been around, but I know Lexington Market has been going for over 100 years. This place is located about 5 blocks north from Camden Yards and is a great place for lunch. There are numerous vendors inside cooking up everything from raw oysters to fried chicken livers to roasted turkey sandwiches. You can also buy fresh veggies, fruit, fish, and meats. For dessert, I often just get a pastry. The only bad thing about this place is that it is located in a fairly poor part of Baltimore City. So if you are scared of street people asking you for change, I would just go to your local Wal-Mart Deli. In terms of prices, you will not get a cheaper lunch this close to downtown unless you pack your own. more

love it here! 8/3/2005

This is a great place,I know our relatives from out of state have to come by here and get several cheesesteaks and freeze them to take home in a cooler for later. Its a real experience, walking around all the vendors and food places and trying to figure out what would taste the best that day.Parking can be fun since its on a busy city street, and the subway also runs near there with a stop. more
