They were both taken to the Lewisville Animal Hospital. Why, you might ask? Somehow my dog wedged a three inch wide stick across the roof of her mouth.
My wife and I saw that she hadn't eaten all day and she was putting her paw up to her mouth constantly. We checked her mouth, but couldn't find anything. We checked a few times as a matter of fact and couldn't find anything wrong with her.
We took her to the LAH and within thirty minutes our dog had been examined, sedated, and worked on. The stick was wedged across the roof of her mouth near the back of her doggy throat.
We gladly paid the $100 and went home. We got an extra bonus because the sedation didn't wear off for about 30 minutes. So our normally antisocial dachshund became playful and terribly unbalanced. We all laughed for a long time about that one.
...and that's why the Easter Bunny lays eggs...The End.
